Which ship to Bermuda?

Horizon or Zenith. Which ship would you choose to Bermuda and why? Since it doesn't look like Princess is doing Bermuda in 2003 it might just be my chance to give Celebrity a try!!

Can't compare since we've not been on Horizon, but they are sister ships and very similar from what I understand. We went on the Zenith and enjoyed the "smaller" ship atmosphere (although it is larger than the Pacific Princess).

They are laid out the same and staterooms are identical. Zenith has a bit of a decorative edge, IMHO.

My suggestion is to look closely at the itineraries and decide which is more appealing to you based on how many days/hours you will spend in the ports you want to be at. Zenith's itinerary spends a bit more time in Hamilton.

Have sailed both. I agree with Linda, check the itinerary and the times at each post. Sailed Zenith to Bermuda and enjoyed it.

I would go with the Zenith. The ships layout is close, The Zenith was refurbished in 1999, The Horizon in 1998. I love Cova Cafe on the Zenith. Also Did they put in hot tubs yet on the Horizon, last I looked they did not have any and the Zenith does. Just a thought.

I wondered about the tubs on the Horizon a while ago and a poster said they were back near the pool. Zenith's are still on the aft deck. Horizon did have an extra pool bar at one time on top deck. That was nice. Is it still there?? Itinerary would be deciding factor as both ships great.

Beryl, this is scary, my wife and I are booked on the Zenith for our 35th wedding anniversary next summer. Can't wait. We sail on June 28th 2003.

We choose the Zenith because it is a little newer and we like the itinerary better.

This gets evem scarier! :lol If we decide to do Bermuda (it is still up in the air) the 28th of June sailing is the one I am looking at!

The reason why there are no hot tubs in the aft section of the Horizon is due to a filtration defect many years ago. The hot tubes weren’t filtered right and some people go leginers (don't know how to spell) disease from it.

I believe that though the ships are almost identical, there are some minor differences in the itineraries. Also next year, one will be leaving from Philadelphia and one from New York. Also, I believe the Horizon gives all passengers a $50 "voucher" for loss of a better word to use at the shops in Bermuda while the Zenith does not.

Horizon is in Hamilton on Wed. which is the night of the street fair on Front Street. It is there Tue 9 am, Wed and leaves thur at 3:00. It is in St. George on Monday at 8 am - Tues. 7 am. You get a $50 card to spend in shops. There are no additional hot tubs besides the bubble pool on the pool deck. The Zenith gets into Hamilton Mon at 8am and leaves at 6am Wed. for St. George arriving at 9. So, it seems Horizon is in Hamilton longer (day light hours anyway) which to me is preferable to St. George. St. George is nice but there isn't much to do. The shops all close at 5-6 pm. My advice while there is to do tours. I would do the Horizon again simply for the intinerary and that $50 pp is nice extra money to spend.

They are the same ship (sisters). Choose the itinerary you like better. We did the Zenith. See my review from last June and pictures on this board.
