I would recommend either the Spirit Class of ships or the Conquest class. These are the newest ships and have the most amenities and entertainment as well as dining options.
=yeah One of the best cruise directors we have had was on Carnival Miracle, a Spirit Class ship.
To be honest, as far as entertainment goes, in 17 cruises I have found it to be pretty much the same. The best entertainment I have seen is the ice skating show on Royal Caribbean.
