I understand the prepaying of tips on the CC ships, but I don't know who else I should tip. Any suggestions? How much did you tip? Should I tip the cabin steward, the housekeeper, anybody else in the dining room other than the waiter, etc... Please give me some examples

Thanks=docdance

Your prepaid tips include both members of your waitstaff/your steward. After that, tips are your decision. If someone provides exceptinal service [whether they be the MaitreD/bar staff/Camp Carnival staff--or even the people covered by your prepaid tips]; you might want to remember them at week's end with a tip.

Like at home, you might want to tip spa/massage staff at time service is rendered. You might want to tip somebody delivering Room Service a dollar or two/whoever loads your bags onto the ships a dollar or so per bag.

If the guide/driver on a "shore excursion" made your time enjoyable, you might want to give them a few dollars.

The waiters, maitre'd, and cabin steward have always been included automatically in our tips. We always choose to have these automatically deducted from our credit card. If we have really good service we will tip extra at the end of our cruise. I always tip anyone in the spa/beauty department and everytime we order room service we always tip a couple dollars. In the past we have tipped our bar waiter if they've done a really good job. On our last cruise we even tipped the girl that worked at the specialty coffee/dessert bar because she was so nice and worked so hard. Really just anyone that you feel gave you special service. We are also sure to tip the guys that handle our luggage at the cruise terminal a few dollars, usually a buck a bag.
