will it be warm enough to swim in jacksonville in october?

thinking of spending day or two in jax before cruise. will kids be able to swim in water the first week of october? anyone know a good ocean front hotel with park and cruise? im reaching here...lol.

Where are you from? It's usually warm enough to swim in northern Florida until almost Thanksgiving, sometimes later. However, the Atlantic is always pretty cool. Pools shouldn't be a problem.

Can't help with the hotel, but water temps in early October will likely be close to 80 deg F.

Im from Southern Indiana- so temp here in october vary. usualy a bit windy and temps anywhere between 50-80.

Sometimes the riptides here can be BAD in October due to Hurricane season. Depending upon what time in October (end or beginning) will determine the water temperature. End of October it can be cold!
