Yellow fever vaccinations for the panama canal cruise

We are sailing on the Coral princess from Accapulco to Fort lauderdale through the panama canal in April, and are trying to find out about yellow fever vaccinations. I have had four different stories from supposedly medical people who have told us we should, shouldnt, dont need it and need it. The only place we go that they would recomend it is Cristobal. Has anyone any advice, experience of the matter?
Thank you

I keep up-to-date on ALL immunizations, because of the possibility of immediate deployment. However, even if I weren't on a DMAT, I'd still get the shot. Better safe than sorry.

If you intend to disembark at a port that recommends shots, shoot up.................

We have been in the canal three time and have never worried about shots but then we do not get off the ship at any of the canal ports. But then since I consume a lot of Tonic Water, I am always Quinine stable .......... :)P)

Not likely -- Cristobal is urban; yellow fever would be in the jungles, if at all.

check with the cruise line.. I know Princess will not let us on their Pacific Princess in Manaus unless we have Yellow Fever shots and a Visa

Check with the cruise line and check with your doctor for the ports and activities in which you plan to participate.
