Your Favorite Celebrity Ship?

For those of you who have been on Celebrity more than one time, what's your favorite ship and why?

I've been on 2 Celebrity cruises - both were on the Century, and I am looking to plan another cruise in the fall on a different Celebrity ship. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hard for me to pick a favorite--mostly because all of my Celebrity cruises have been on M-Class ships--Millennium, Summit and Constellation...

We'd been on Constellation 3 times and had a fourth booked for this summer--but then switched to do the new Eclipse instead...

So, after July, I'll actually be able to make some real comparisons...

But, the M-class ships are great. If you haven't cruised on one, then go try it...They're 91,000 gross tons with only 1,950 passengers--very uncrowded, very nice size...

We've been on three Celebrity ships, two of which are still in service. The two are Infinity and Century, and both my husband and I preferred Century. We liked her relatively small size (although she is by no means a small ship, as you know from being onboard), and there was actually more for all of us to enjoy than on the larger ship. We were onboard after her refurbishment a couple of years ago.

This is not to say that I did not enjoy Infinity -- the T-pool and SS United States restaurant are among my favorite areas on any ship on which I've sailed (the latter because I am a liner fanatic). The Concierge Class cabins are also nicer on Infinity (and, any M-class ships). Happy planning, and let us know what you decide!

We have sailed the Century, Galaxy and the Constellation. (loved the ship and I know why there are so many repeaters, but hated landing in Port Liberty)...loved them all, and would sail them again in a heartbeat..Getting ready to sail the big Soltice in six weeks.. and then in October the Equinox.. So, I guess my answer is... any Celebrity ship, especially the M....and now very, very excited about the Soltice class...

We will be on our first Celebrity next month. It is the cruise I am on at the time to be the best.

We've been on the. Zenith, Horizon, Galaxy, Mercury, and twice on the Constellation. My favorite would be the Constellation. Our first cruise on the Connie was a repositioning to Europe in Aug 2007. We really enjoyed Antonio at the pool bar who would do tricks. He has since been promoted. Another favorite was Benny Chen in the Martini bar, one fun guy.

We have been on the Amerikanese (Old Fantasy Cruises, forerunner to Celebrity), Zenith (twice), Century, Galaxy and Infinity. Hard to pick a real favorite, but the intimacy of the Zenith was nice. Booked on the Equinox in 10 days, and then maybe we will pick a new favorite. The real answer is that they are all great, and we would sail any of them again.

The ships I actually cruised on are no longer in the fleet. Sailed Horizon several times and loved her. Sailed Galaxy once and...well...once was one time too many. Visited Mercury (didn't care for her either), Summit (thumbs up) and Century (loved her - would like to sail on her).

If I could pick a favorite. hmmmm.. well I guess it's a toss up between the Merc and the Infinity although I pretty sure any M class ship would do.

The Solstice was a very nice "Big" ship. Nice and new with all the bells and whistles and for sure the grandest ship we have been on...just too large however.

I also really liked the Horizon and Zenith but they are elsewhere after being enlarged and operated by others.

X promises they are upgrading the M class with S class stuff. I can't remember which ship is first..Now that may just make them perfect. As long as they don't add rooms and pax.

We have been on the Zenith twice, Horizon once, Century three times pre and post remodel (including the maiden voyage back in 1995), Mercury and Galaxy each once, and Millennium four times. I don't think we could pick a favorite - each ship and cruise is unique and has its own special qualities.

Our first was the Century in 2005, then the Galaxy and then the Constellation.....We are on the Soltice the end of next month and Equinox mid October...Cant pick a favorite yet.. they are certainly better than the Princess ship we were on in April... There is something about the Celebrity Experience that is so darn special... and I love every bit of it..

We have sailed The Century, The Constellation and The Solstice. But our choice is The Century outstanding service by staff.

Vividly remember our waiter, Tony, on the Century... the best.. ran into him on he Galaxy but he was about to retire.. Will check out the Soltice in a month...

I have to agree with the Bob guy. Infinity and Mercury (cause Galaxy is gone). And they are doing Millie first (on the Solsticizing thing) but you should all go try Azamara if you like small ships. They rock.

We have sailed on the Century twice, the Zenith and Millie. Our favorite hands down is the Century. We enjoy the smaller size to the mega ships, also the layout and service was very good. It is our favorite ship that is still sailing today.

Now that you've done the Eclipse what do you think? M class vs. S class?

I sailed the Century in November 2009 in the Mediterrian. To be honest we were so busy with the ports that I don't really remember much about the ship. We were in a CC balcony. Off the ship at 7:30 and back on just before sail away.

In December 2009 I did the Equinox and absolutely loved the ship. It was sailing the Eastern and southern Caribbean and I've done most of those ports 3x or more. We stayed on board in some ports and just loved the ship.

We're doing the Equinox TA in May 2011 because while we love the sea days we feel that we need to love the ship because let's face it you're not getting off for 6 straight days!

Now here's my dilema: I can either do a cruise in October 2010 on a 7-day Solstice vs. 10-day on the Millenium. My wife has sailed the Millenium twice, in 2003 & 2004. I have never sailed the M class.

What concerns me is will I like the Millenium?

For those of you who have sailed on both M & S class ship - which would you do again? :thankyou:

Without hesitation I would go n the Millie. I think you will enjoy the ship for starters and it is a couple of more days at sea.

It won't have the bells and whistles that the S class has and not as new of course but you can't go wrong.

I would rally like to try the Connie as it has be "Solstized"

We were on the Soltice in the spring and the ship and art were to die for.. lets toss in the famous lawn and glass show.. Food was mediocre.. Never felt crowded or it was too big..We have sailed the Century, Galaxy and Constellation...We next do the Equinox in October..and considering doing Soltice in 2011 t/a....only because of the Itinerry.. Favorite..It's hard to pick a favorite.especially with the M ships we have been on.. but I'd go back to any one of them in a heart beat..
