This will be my 1st cruise ever. My wife and I will be sailing on Oct 4th for our honeymoon. We booked cabin 9004 which is right above the theater. Does anyone know if it'll be noisy ?. Also how's the weather in bermuda during that time of the year and what type of clothing should we bring. Thanks.

Charles,
We were almost ready to book 9002. We asked the cruise line if it would be noisy and they said no. We wondered. But did you check to see that your view might be obstructed by lifeboats? That is one reason why we switched to a lower deck. Also, some rooms have upper berths and lower berths. Not quite sure what that means, but in our case, we insisted on two twin beds that will be rearranged to make a bed that is king size. Would an upper berth and lower berth mean bunks??? not sure. I guess we all have a lot to learn before we cruise. Our trip is the one after yours. Happy honeymooning.

Hey Joanne,
Thanks for your tips. I am almost positive 9004 is not obstructed. It's a Cat 4 cabin. Only the Cat 7 oceanview on bahama deck are obstructed. I requested for a queen bed because i prefer not having the ditch in between beds. As for lower or upper berth, i have no clue either. Wish you lots of fun.

Charles, you are correct that cabin 9004 is not obstructed, but I believe it does have a walkway in front of the window which means your privacy will be limited when your drapes are not drawn. As far as the beds that are pushed together having a "ditch" in between, we never found that to be noticible. I'm sure that no matter what cabin you stay in you will have a wonderful time on the Zenith! Have a great honeymoon!

Upper berths are bunk beds that fold into the wall above your regular bed.It does not replace your bed it adds a bed or two for a third or fourth person sleeping in the same cabin.Hope this helps with your ? on bunks/upperbirths etc.

Charles,
Thanks. I think we'll have a great cruise. We are going to try the "Don't Stop the Carnival Party' shore excursion. This sounds sort of like a luau Bermuda style to me.

Charles,

Do you know how prone you are to motion sickness? Maybe your TA should have warned you but any cabin on top of the theater is at the front of the ship and rather high. Motion is felt the most at the bow of the ship and the higher you go up.

The ship will go into the open Atlantic to get to Bermuda and it can get rough. You may want to investigate remedies to take for the sea motion.

If it is a problem you may want to consider a cabin closest to midship as possible and lower.

Charles... We are also going on Oct 4 to Bermuda on Zenith. We've been on Celebrity a few times and LOVE IT! Our first time to Bermuda and 1st tim on Zenith. You have to sign up for Cruise Connections party. If 25 people sign up, Celebrity get us a nice room, food and juice/water so we can get together and chat. I did it on Millenium and it was so much fun! There are only 8 of us so far :-( but hopefully will be more soon!
