Hello all - I'll do a real review of our trip in a few days, but thought I'd give my basic impressions.

The art deco decor of the ship is really very nice, I really liked it - where prior to sailing I thought the photos looked quite gaudy! I also really liked the art throughout the ship.

Our S suite was nice, but smaller than those on other ships - this was most noticed in the depth of the balcony - I think it was about 3 feet narrower which made moving around the table and chairs a little difficult. The "wicker-style" furniture on the balcony is great. And... since we were traveling with the people next door, we liked the panel that opened between the two verandahs. The interior colors of the suite are much brighter than the older ships and the soft furniture is upholstered with leather. Our cabin steward, Evan, was excellent! We had a bad sewer smell in the cabin for two days.

The Vista dining room is quite nice, we had a table on the second level at the aft windows - great view. The food was good (as usual) but the service still seems to be a little confused.

The Odessey - not a good experience here - I'll go into detail in my review. The restaurant is beautiful; I really liked the funny chairs - they are very comfortable even though they don't look like it.

In the hour before dinner the bar waiters were excellent, but at other times they tended to talk with the bartender and ignore passengers even when you stood at the bar to request a drink.

The therapy pool was only partially working so there was no charge to use it. The water was very cool and only some of the jets worked.

The train in St. Kitts was running and turned out to be a very nice excursion.

These are most of the items that were discussed prior to sailing - hope I answered some questions. All in all... I wish I was still onboard rather than here in my office.

Good grief... the therapy pool isn't working properly YET?!? They told us during the preview cruise in early-December that it would be fully functional by the time the first "real" passengers embarked the following week.

I hope they at least fixed the locks on the public bathroom doors--I spoke to quite a few women who were rescued after being locked in (I got locked in as well and the entire doorknob came off when others were trying to help me get out). The locks stuck so frequently that by the second day of our cruise, they put "out of order" signs on all the restrooms.

Linda - I can't help with the public restrooms as I never used one, but I didn't see any out-of-order signs on any.

Did I hear accurately that there are no public restrooms near the dining room?

Sail7 - the only restroom that I found near the dining room (upper level) was one for the disabled. This was handy for my Uncle. I imagine anyone could use it... but I tend to let the special facilities be used by those that they are intended for.
