From hearing about other cruiser's experiences in aft cabins, I don't really think any of the things you mentioned will be a problem. I have seen recent pictures of aft cabins on the Zuiderdam, and the balcony looked absolutely clean and wonderful!! It is all teak and it has a big round table and four chairs, two more rattan chairs with ottomans and a small table, plus two large chaise lounges with another table between them. The railing is the see-thru smoked glass. Nothing but the wake of the ship and the sea air. Very nice. So don't worry...there must be a reason why those aft cabins are hard to come by!!
