I am so excited to be going on my first cruise. We will be making our final payment next week. We made reservations this pass weekend for flightseeing while in Juneau and for the Yukon Expedition and White Pass Railway in Skagway. I still can not believe I am going to Alaska on a cruise ship!

Well....we made our final payment this morning so it is definitely a GO! There is no turning back and that is just fine with me. While I was at the travel agent this morning I saw a picture of Canada Place with a cruise ship tied up to the pier. The ship dwarfed the place. I found out that two other ships will be leaving Canada Place for cruises on the same day we leave. It is going to be exciting to be part of the hustle and bustle as we all start our adventures! I hope there is a Tim Horton's at Canada Place or nearby since I need a double-double.

Congratulations on your cruise. I think you'll have a fantastic time - it's a wonderful itinerary! Canada Place is most attractive. I'll be cruising out of Canada Place on Volendam about 3 weeks after you. Yes, that Terminal can handle multiple ships.

I don't know if there's a Tim Horton's in Canada Place as I always stay at one of the hotels there, and go directly from hotel to ship. There's a food court in Canada Place's lower level, but I don't remember seeing a Tim Horton's. That might have changed, though. I was last there in May, 2009.

There's a Tim Horton's across the street from Canada Place at Waterfront Centre, 200 Burrard Street (intersection of Burrard and West Cordova Streets). Tel: (604) 692-0348 And they accept the Quickpay Tim Card.

Hope this helps ...

S&P, what a great ship and port to sail from for your first cruise! Caution: cruising is addictive and this won't be your last!

77days(11 weeks) and we will be in Vancouver! We leave Virginia on Friday at 6am and arrive in Vancouver at noon PST. HAL told our TA that we will be staying at the Pan Pacific but that it might be some other hotel. I would be willing to sleep on the pavement in front of the door to Canada Place just like the contestants on Amazing Race. We hope to do some exploring on foot to work the kinks out of our muscles and then find some place for supper. I can't decide if I want a really great view or really great food. There are so many interesting restaurants that I wish we could hop between all of them and just get a taste of their best dishes.

The Pan Pacific is FABULOUS!!! That's where I always stay. To many of us, that hotel is as much a part of the wonderful cruise as the cruise itself!

Within walking distance of the hotel is a great restaurant/micro-brewery named Steamworks

Friends who reside in British Columbia originally brought us there.
