Really great review, Cruzman. I posted some comment to you on the Community Section. Thanks for going to the trouble of posting the review. I enjoyed reading it.
Glad you had as good a time as we did on ZUDM.

Cruzman - enjoyed your review very much. Thanks for posting it.

Sail - love your new "signature", especially the script that resembles that on the souvenir Dutch caps personalized by various crew members on board the 'dam ships!

Thank you very much Cruzman.

Its a lovely, positive review - glad that you had a great time (despite the high seas, weather and mosquitos).

We are staying in S8135 in July, so particularly appreciated both your review and your photos :)

Thanks, MaryAnn.....You and I recognized that script immediately. That is always the beautiful print the stewards use when painting the Dutch hats. I treasure those remembrances of many wonderful "dam" cruises.

I now have two more such caps as pleasant memories of another excellent HAL cruise!

Absolutely wonderful review! Several questions: 1. Do you have to be staying in a Suite in order to have room service breakfast each morning, I am traveling along and staying in a Cat B stateroom. 2. you mentioned sail-away parties, do they have these when leaving each port? 3. Having second seating for dinner, will I miss the sail-away parties?
Again thanks for the very informative, yet positive review!

SteveSS, room service is available for anyone, 24 hours a day.
Genereally there's only one sail-away party on the first day, and it's pretty much over by the time dinner comes around. If you're still partying at dinner-time, you probably won't be too hungry anyway ;-)
Be sure to check out the piano bar, near the casino...

We had several sail-away parties throughout each of our back-to-backs. I don't specifically remember which ports (in addition, of course, to embarkation day) but I know they had at least two parties a week.

We found - one of the BEST places for "Sail-aways" is the "Crow's Nest" -and find its usually a bunch of our NEW friends who are up there each time!

Thank you for the review and photos. We sail in November with a group of fifteen (and growing). We couldn't resist those prices! Thanks for putting our fears to rest about earlier problems on the ship.
