I'm hoping it is not to late to start this post, but my husband and I will be sailing on The Z 12-18. That's less than 2 weeks away. If you will be sailing with us I would love to hear from you!!

Hey, I think we've crossed paths on the dinner dress changes thread. I will definitely be with you on the Z on 12/18. Can't wait. Did you happen to read my update concerning the formal night? There will be one on the 2nd night (the 19th). I called a rep and got the info.
Has anyone packed yet? I'm counting the minutes!

Hello again!!

I am so confused, we called HAL and were told "the formal" night was on the 21st! Either way, I am still planning on wearing the same dress. No, I have not started packing yet (tomorrow). I did do my last minute shopping today so it all seams REAL now!

What are you wearing for the formal night? I think the women in my family are doing the long gown thing, but I just feel like I'm re-living prom if wear a long dress. Anyone else going long?

Hi,

The Roberts will be along for this cruise. Say hello if you see a cute 3 year old with us!

Did anyone get HAL promo code 7031 for shipboard credit to work for this cruise??

Thanks!

To the Roberts family: Welcome!!! Are you and the little one (boy or girl??) going to check out the new water park on HMC? I just read an article on Frommers.com about the all the new activities on HMC. the author has twin two year old boys and states that they loved the water park. And what's up with this 4031 shipboard credit? I have not heard of it and I need all the extra $$ credit I can get!

To asmitty: Yes, I am going "long". Just a simple long black dress with a red scarf/wrap. Not really formal (no real sparkle or whatever) but very nice. I think it will be a good "in between" kind of dress so hopefully I will feel like I fit in no matter what everyone else is wearing. I am glad to hear that others in your group are going to wear a long dress as well, you might as well go "long" with the rest of us.

Martha,

Where are you from in NC? We are on the Outer Banks. The child is a 3 year old boy with a new sibling due next summer. Mom dad and grandparents will be along to enjoy the cruise.

Promo code is 7031 and call your travel agent about it. Its shipboard credit and Im not getting anywhere with my cruise.com reps. Should be a $50 per person per cabin credit.

Let us know how you make out.

Oh My I understand why you are having problems. Check your messages and I will tell you my C.Com story. Hopefully it will help you with the credit thing.

We are from a little town just west of Winston Salem, NC. (Winston-Salem is the home of Old Salem, Wake Forest University and of course RJ Reynolds) Just take I 40 west and we are off exit #180.
I LOVE your area of the state, just don't get down there very often. My brother has a cabin about a hour from us in the NC mountains. So we spend most of our time away from home there. By the way if you are ever looking for a great rental cabin in the NC mountains let me know. That is the real reason he built the place - we can only get up there when they don't have it rented.

Hi,

Looking forward to the cruise!

I wrote you back with a similar story with service at cruise.com. Thanks for your input. I have contacted HAL directly to resolve the matter.

SHIPS AHOY!
