Port Canaveral Begins $95 Million Cruise Terminal 10 Expansion

$95 million project, scheduled for completion in November 2027, will accommodate some of cruise industry’s largest ships

Port Canaveral is getting ready for even bigger cruise ships. Construction has officially begun on a $95 million expansion and renovation of Cruise Terminal 10, a major project designed to accommodate some of the largest vessels in the cruise industry. When completed in November 2027, the upgraded terminal will be capable of handling ships carrying as many as 6,700 passengers.

Designed by Miami-based architectural firm Bermello Ajamil, the reimagined facility will feature spacious, modern interiors with a streamlined look and feel, colorful artwork, a striking glass façade that will introduce more natural light and other design elements that will create a welcoming and inviting environment for cruise guests. Expanded security screening and luggage areas, new elevators/escalators, updated signage and HVAC systems are also being added, enhancing the overall guest experience.

“We’ve taken everything we’ve learned about cruise operations to create a terminal that is highly functional and visually beautiful,” said Captain John W. Murray, Port Canaveral CEO. “Our cruise business investments are highly focused on ensuring that guest arrivals and departures are comfortable, efficient, and above all, support the high quality experience we provide for our cruise partners and their guests.”

Constructed by PCL Construction Services, Inc., of Orlando, the redesigned terminal will encompass more than 145,000 total square feet – nearly 30 percent larger than the existing space.
