Nor’easter Forces Vision of the Seas to Scrap Canada & New England Cruise

Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas has abandoned its planned nine-night Canada and New England itinerary from Baltimore and is sailing south to Florida and the Bahamas as a powerful nor’easter impacts the U.S. East Coast.

Royal Caribbean told passengers that unfavorable weather and high winds forced the change. The ship returned late to Baltimore on September 24, embarkation was pushed back, and Vision remained overnight before departing September 25. The replacement itinerary calls at Port Canaveral, Nassau and Grand Bahama instead of the originally scheduled northeastern ports. Royal Caribbean Blog

The disruption is part of a broader East Coast weather event. The National Weather Service warns the nor’easter will bring significant coastal impacts to the Mid-Atlantic and New England through the weekend, including moderate to major coastal flooding, heavy rain, strong winds and high surf.
