MSC Cruises is set to turn up the music in Alaska with the debut of “Dirty Dancing: In Concert” aboard MSC Poesia, launching with the ship’s highly anticipated Alaska season beginning May 11, 2026.
Created by Lionsgate and GEA Live, the live-to-film concert experience brings the iconic 1980s movie Dirty Dancing to life through a spectacular 90-minute performance featuring a live band, powerhouse vocalists, and dynamic dancers performing perfectly in sync with the film on screen.

MSC Poesia will become the third ship in the MSC Cruises fleet to host the popular production, following its successful rollout aboard MSC World America sailing from Miami and MSC Virtuosa, which has featured the show during her summer season from Southampton, UK, and will continue offering it during her upcoming winter sailings in the Southern Caribbean.
Guests sailing aboard MSC Poesia will have multiple opportunities to enjoy Dirty Dancing: In Concert throughout their voyage, including matinee performances on sea days, while cruising to some of Alaska and Canada’s most breathtaking destinations from Seattle, the ship’s homeport.
Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment at MSC Cruises, said, “We are thrilled to have ‘Dirty Dancing: In Concert’ on board MSC Poesia for MSC Cruises’ first-ever sailings to Alaska. Following the incredible response we’ve seen on MSC World America and MSC Virtuosa, we’re excited to bring this truly one-of-a-kind experience to even more guests at sea.”
Beyond Dirty Dancing: In Concert, MSC Poesia’s Alaska season will feature an expanded lineup of world-class entertainment, including:
- MSC Dueling Pianos, with two high-energy musical hosts nightly
- Live jazz, party bands, salsa, and Latin music throughout the ship
- An exclusive, elegant music program for MSC Yacht Club guests in the Top Sail Lounge
- Themed parties, large-scale theatre productions such as Divas, and performances by seasoned U.S. comedians
- Wellness sessions, sports activities, and arts and crafts workshops led by expert activity coaches
- Regional enrichment specialists offering immersive talks and hands-on workshops highlighting Alaska’s geography, wildlife, and natural beauty

Ahead of her inaugural Alaska season, MSC Poesia will undergo one of the largest refurbishments in MSC Cruises’ history, introducing the MSC Yacht Club, new specialty dining venues including Butcher’s Cut and Kaito Sushi Bar, the All-Stars Sports Bar, a refreshed MSC Aurea Spa, and an enhanced MSC Gym Powered by Technogym®.
MSC Poesia will offer 7-night Alaska sailings visiting destinations such as Ketchikan, Icy Strait, Hoonah, Tracy Arm, Juneau, and Victoria, British Columbia.
