Creating Flavors for Everyone (Part 1: Beverages)

Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas serves up flavors of all kinds, even those just for the kids. Part one of “Making an Icon: Creating Flavors for Everyone,” dives into the process to come up with the right blend of drinks across all eight neighborhoods.

Making an Icon

From over-the-top milkshakes to a walk-up champagne bar to coffee-based cocktails and more non-alcoholic options, see the brains behind the menus and experiences research and test all-new recipes, twists on favorites, glassware and more to create sips for every palate.

  • A look at Icon’s 15+ bars and lounges that were dreamed up for anyone and everyone, and every mood and vibe. Complete with new experiences and twists on favorites, highlights include over-the-top milkshakes, a walk-up champagne bar, coffee-based cocktails and more non-alcoholic options.
  • Hear directly from the Royal Caribbean team about how they leveraged consumer research and insights, conducted months of taste and glassware testing and worked with world-class mixologists to craft bold menus, including 60 all-new beverages, some of which will be exclusive to Icon.
  • Vacationers will get to explore and try things they’ve never imagined and stick to their favorites across more than 15 bars and lounges. If they’re looking for the classic margarita or new flavors, Cantina Fresca is the place to be. For some live music to go with not-your-average Negroni, aka the B Flat Negroni, the brand-new Lou’s Jazz ‘n Blues is the spot. And then there’s the beloved Schooner Bar, returning with new additions like a peanut butter and pineapple old fashioned.
