Cruise Shipping Miami: State of the Global Industry (AUDIO)

This year’s Cruise Shipping Miami celebrated it’s 30th year. This event brings together everyone involved in the cruise industry. Seeing it for the first time in person was very memorable. I was amazed the first time I saw the 1,000 exhibitors on the exhibition floor from all the worlds ports, destinations and more.

The State of the Global Cruise Industry began Tuesday morning and included an executive cruise panel given by four cruise line executives, Richard Fain of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Kevin Sheehan of Norwegian Cruise Line, Arnold Donald of Carnival Corp. & plc, and Pierfrancesco Vago of MSC Cruises. Moderated by Katty Kat of BBC World News. The panel was very positive and felt the industry had a very bright future. On the subject of growth Pierfrancesco Vago stated, “MSC Cruises grew 800% since its beginning in 2004. This shows the industries potential.” Panel member’s also described their industry as “Very Sexy” and agreed they offered amazing value. In a very candid comment Richard Fain of RCI said “The fact is we provide unbelievable vacations. “Even these guys!” Referring to his fellow panel members.
