Explora Journeys has reached two major construction milestones as the luxury cruise brand moves closer to completing its six-ship fleet.
At Fincantieri’s Sestri Ponente shipyard in Genoa, Italy, the company celebrated the float-out of EXPLORA V alongside the traditional coin ceremony for EXPLORA VI.
The events mark significant progress for the fifth and sixth vessels in Explora Journeys’ growing fleet.

Following the delivery of EXPLORA III in July 2026, the company plans to introduce EXPLORA IV in spring 2027, followed by EXPLORA V toward the end of that year.
EXPLORA VI is expected to enter service in summer 2028, completing the planned six-vessel fleet.
Senior executives from MSC Group, Explora Journeys, and Fincantieri attended the ceremonies, underscoring continued investment in the brand’s expansion in the luxury cruise market.
