A Prayer Request, Please

Forever Remembered
A friend - actually, a good friend of my friend Jean's - has just been diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer that has already metastasized. She feels very weak, and at this point, does not seem willing to try treatment. She probably has only a short time to live.

May I ask for your prayers, and if indeed her time is short, that she can be kept as free of pain as possible.

Thank you.

Thank you again.

Jean's friend is going downhill so fast that, today, she asked to be admitted to a hospice facility. She has smoked for many years.:(

Best wishes for all as this friend makes this sad journey. Having been thru this, I know how difficult it is. My mother was 74 when we learned her breast cancer had spread to her pancreas. She was very ill, in a great deal of pain, & she refused further treatment. We moved her into our home & were assisted daily by nurses from hospice with the main purpose of keeping her as comfortable as possible. We had an extremely positive experience with hospice. I hope that this family is comforted by the hospice people as much as we were.

Jeanie and Earl - thank you.

Kathy - I answered your kind note yesterday, but I don't see it. Bless you for your kindness towards your late Mother. May she be resting in peace. Yes, I hope hospice will be as beneficial to Jean's friend as it has been to others.
