I heard tonight that this lady is in hospice, and will not be going home. Her sister and son are at her side. The cancer continues to metastasize. This is a person who was very strong-willed, and has literally given up with a fight - no treatments, nothing.

Thank you for your continued prayers. All we can hope for at this point is that she passes quickly and without suffering. Thank you.

As someone who has gone through this with a few friends, I do understand where she is at. I found an old email from Ronda about my friend Jan, and the long talk they had before Jan passed from lung cancer complications. Ronda talked about how you finally just get tired of fighting...

Prayers the passing is quick and easy, for everyone. People in this kind of twilight should be able to die with dignity and grace.

Thank you, John. She lived about 5 weeks from the time of diagnosis. That she didn't linger was a blessing for her.

sigh...the more years I track in Nursing..the greater the numbers of folks getting more and more ill with terminal diagnoses. as long as they are pain free. I cope ;Bless all that they may not suffer...
