TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced that his Economic Crimes Division reached a resolution with two cruise lines over the imposition of a fuel supplement on cruise passengers. Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Celebrity Cruises have agreed to refund $21 million to consumers nationwide who were charged the fuel surcharge after they had booked their cruise. The Attorney General also advised Florida consumers to carefully check their hotel, cruise and airline bills for any surcharges not properly disclosed and to report any problems to the Attorney General’s Office

FYI everyone
Lori e-mailed me to say she was looking into the fuel supplement charge for me and she sounded pi**ed off about them not giving me my Crown and Anchor package,
I did put in a complaint in with the Florida Attorney General office about RCCL fuel supplement charge.

Hey all from reading the posts after the cruise, it sounds to me that the cruise was fun, but getting off the ship after it was over wasn't fun!!!! Am I right?

Keep us posted Jim - I never had the fuel surcharged added to my bill - I wonder why some of us did and some of us didn't?

George - give more details on the luggage charges. What reason did they say that you had to pay extra? Ours worked out okay. We didn't have to pay on either Continental or Northwest coming home. Sorry that you got tangled up in that.

I will keep you updated, I was charged $35 per person for both cabins so RCCL owes me $140 and I would have taken it as a cabin credit and RCCL would have made out. Now I want the cash

Probably because he wants you to paint it...I'll look for you, he gave us the Presidential Suite for our next cruise Don't be skimping on the paint around my balcony...Johnny and I will be watching

I highly doubt that Johnny would want the Harley painted....I am sure he meant the ship. You'd better get started now Tommy - the ship leaves in what, November? Now you guys have me paranoid.....I am going to double check my invoices to see on the fuel surcharges, but I am almost positive we weren't charged them.

Ok, need to get to bed so I can be chipper in the AM for my first day back at work. Yippee. Greg's back to work tomorrow too.
