:S Only 30% off at Dillards, not 50% - I just got an e-mail from them. I am disappointed!!!! :(
So, are we to assume you won't be attending the annual gala...yeah right!

Against my better judgement, your twin has asked that I send this to you...

Anne said to tell you not to waist your time. We just skipped the gym to allow her to get first dibs on the sale. For the first time, she returned home empty handed...she's devistated :D

OH MY GOD! Shopping and coming home empty handed? Why that is almost criminal and should be punishable by 1month of no shopping at all. What is wrong with that woman???=?

Good Morning Cats,

Today is Greg's last day of work. What are you Cats doing for the 4th of July! Hope you have a safe and fun holiday!
I have been in the hospital with arrythmia. The docs have shocked my heart twice in the last month to keep it in normal rhythm. One procedure was outpatient. The second time the doctor admitted me to the hospital for a couple of days. I was asleep thru the procedures, but it left marks from the pads on my skin. It feels like a layer of skin was removed in the front and on the back. I am treating it as a sunburn. I am feeling better now, but have to take beta blockers twice a day.

Tommy and Regina,
Let us know what you think of Siesta Key. We have been considering visiting there in the near future. Fireworks at the beach are so awesome!

Sheree,
I went to Dillards on Monday and came back with nothing. There was an advertisement in today's paper stating another 30% off. I was looking at formals. Found a beautiful one at a great price (75% off), but it was about 2 inches too short. I have a problem with finding clothes long enough to fit my tall body. Keep us posted on the sales.

We decided to stay at the Mirage in Vegas. We are leaving on the 19th thru the 23rd. My in laws said they don't mind driving to the strip. My single sister, Rhonda (from Lake Tahoe) is going to meet us there, and she will be rooming with Mom there and on the cruise.

George,
What has everyone decided to do in St John? I haven't caught up on the reading yet.

Jim,
Did you buy the bus yet?

OGirls,
Are you going to stay at the Radisson before the cruise?

We are ready to cruise. Hope everyone has a blessed holiday!

Barbara

Hi guys....we are headed to Greg's parents in just a bit...I am taking the carrot cake that I made from scratch (yum!) and my in laws want us to pick up pizza on our way over. We're due there at 7, but the fireworks are at 10.

Barb - I hope everything is okay. I am sure that was a scary time for you. I think you'll enjoy staying at the Mirage. Be sure to check out the Venetian right across the street.....we really did love it there.

My great deal of the day from Dillards was a new rolling garment bag. The luggage was 50% with an additional 30%. I bought 2 pieces of really nice Samsonite luggage and it came to about $180. The other piece is a wheeled carry on. No clothes, no shoes, just luggage.

I'll check in tomorrow!

Good morning all,

Happy 4th of July! We are headed out to that resort I wrote about in a few hours, probably won't check back in until Monday.

I agree, but I think it should be 6 months to really send a message :D

Sure hope your doing better Barb. Did you have to have a pacemaker put in? You and your mom could really use this cruise. Have a great time in Vegas.

As in done...retired...no more work?

Why do I picture Zsa Zsa Gabor in Green Acres everytime Regina brings up camping ;D

We were looking at the same luggage. Decided against though, we pretty much buy most of our luggage off of ebags.

Hi guys - we had a great night of fireworks last night. It was so cool to see them in the yard of the house that Greg grew up in. Most of the neighbors had the whole families over so Greg saw some people he went to school with and was able to catch up a bit. The fireworks were really good. Our friends that we go out with once in a while came over with their daughter, so they had a nice time too. We brought pizza and my carrot cake (which was excellent!) and enjoyed a nice comfy night outside.

Greg's at work today. I am hoping he has an easy day - but I can picture people playing with fireworks today and getting hurt, so I hope not too much of that happens. There was a fatal fire the other night and I was so glad he was off. I know the guys at the station are probably going to be thinking about that fire for a long time. There was also a huge warehouse fire in the next town over (where his parents live) and all the area fire departments had to help with that blaze. It wiped out a whole city block. Greg worked OT that day and thankfully was home after 8PM. All of this stuff happened after 9PM. It's the stuff that definitely scares me as the wife of a firefighter.

So, I am not sure if I am going to go to another Dillards this weekend or not. I was disappointed that all I got was the luggage! I really like the luggage though - George it's funny that we were looking at the same stuff. I thought this was nice and light though, and one of our garment bags really needed to be retired. I think we are going to try to get another cruise out of the other one.

It's overcast here today. I was lookiing forward to an afternoon of hanging out reading a book on the aft. A great day off, if you ask me!

Hope everyone is having a good time this weekend. George, can't wait to hear about the resort. Regina, I hope camping is going well.

Good afternoon all,

We just got out of the pool here at the resort. Real nice place with some great pools. Some construction going on in the front of the resort, but no where near us where we would consider it a nuisance. To the credit of the resort, they give a 50% of coupon for your next stay...something we would probably do.

Hope everyone else is enjoying their 4th.

Good morning all,

Just checking in while Anne is sleeping and Arrielle is watching cartoons. We were planning an eveing by the pool, but the weather didn't agree and forced everyone inside. Going out for breakfast in a little bit and probably a little shopping, mixed with a movie (anyone seen the Hulk).

Hi Cats...we're home from my cousin's baseball game. They are really a good travel team....they are the Buffalo Wings. Har-har. Yes, they are from Buffalo, and they are the Wings. Cute, huh? We might go back tomorrow to watch the championship game. It depends on whether or not Greg gets the yard done this afternoon. We were looking forward to a relaxing day here at the house on Sunday, but we really enjoyed ourselves at the ballpark, so we might head back tomorrow for their 2:30 game. It's about a 45 minute drive to where they are playing.

So George, how's the shopping near the resort? Was there a Dillards nearby?

Where are all the Floridians today???
