Carnival Booking Ethics?

You won't have any trouble with the lifts...or at least you shouldn't have. We have been by the lifts before and it never bothered us. Hey, as far as I'm concerned, as long as there's a peg to hang my fins and mask I am good to go.

Now Carnival agents are starting to call you as soon as you get off the ship. Hoping that your pumped up enough to buy again. They called my friend that I just cruised with and tried to sell her a room at a good deal. I went online and found the exact same price. Dont give them your cell phone number. I just book online.

Royal Caribbean would do and does do the exact same thing. And other lines. Each cruise line has a very few professional people answering the phones. But the bulk are rapid turn over min.wage clerks that have NEVER cruised and will say or do anything for a booking. [even tho they don't get commissions] The problem is in customer "service" everywhere, not just Carnival or just cruiselines.
Without questioning your sincerity in any way, we have only heard what you UNDERSTOOD to have been said. And that is NEVER the whole story.

On both our last cruise and our upcoming one, we booked directly with Carnival. Our PVP was great, all we had to do was call her up for a sale and she would check for us. The last cruise we had the best deal to begin with. This cruise we booked a specific room and made price/room changes 3 times. There was never any problems. We kept an eye on other sites (prices do go up and down like a yo-yo)and when we saw a good deal we called her up and she adjusted the rate. even when she left, all we had to do was call Carnival and they were great. The last time we ended up paying the original price but getting a much better category. There wasn't even any change in fuel charges. I'm sorry you had a bad experience but Carnival has great customer service IMO.
