Yes we may have been on the same Victory cruise!! It was 5/28/01 out of Boston. A great cruise, just wished it wasn't as rainy and foggy so we could have been out on deck more often.

Both Seabreez and myself are sailing on 5/13/03. Do you live near NY or are you flying in? I love the idea of not having to fly!

Re: Legend

NuCruzer - We're about 90 miles for (NYC), so we won't be flying. Also love the idea of not having to deal with airfare. ...... Cruise can't get here quick enough, it'll be our first. It's been a long five months already, (booked it in June), and still six months to go! Should be great though, pics of this ship looked incredible, especially in the photo gallery!... Good to hear from you, - *(M & L) !!

I think the ship is almost sold out . Can't find pricing for it anymore on most sites! I only booked last month. Well, we're almost down to under 200 days! I can't wait either. It's all I think about.

I haven't been able to find pricing anywhere either. By the end of November, it probably will be sold out. It's good you booked when you did.... I remember when we booked this June, it was about 330 days then!!! I just hope the next six months go by as fast as the last six? Actually, I think about this cruise alot, I'm finding myself on this website, (an some others) almost every nite!. .........My gilfriend thinks I'm crazy?

I'll be sailing on the Legend Sept 10, 2003 out of NY. It will be nice not to fly for a change. Since I live 30 miles from NY. Sailed on the Pride Oct 12-19 2002.

Hey Mike, just emailed you. I met Seabreez on Cruise Critics Board. It was funny when I found her posting here as well-I guess we just can't get enough!

Re: Legend 5/13/03

I toured the Legend in NYC. I didn't like it. Found its public spaces monotonous as much of them used the same docrative elements and crowded, ceilings low, disco frightening. The enchanted forest and the Russian themed lounges were particularly unpleasant to be in. Music was blaring in almost every room. Had food in the dining room, can't tell how representative it is for the line, found it good enough. I did like the gymnasium, teired, very pleasant. The overall ship design may be well designed, but seemed crowded.

I don't have a good reaction to Carnival ships, I think they are much different than ships of all other lines. Active and exciting, they may be, service and food, may be excellent as well. Elegant in ambiance, they are not.

I too toured the Legend and I had the exact opposite reaction then you.

Yes it's glitzy but I think this is the nicest ship out of Carnival's fleet.
I love all of the areas they have for you to sit in and just enjoy.

Re: Legend 5/13/03

The Legend, Spirit, Pride, and Costa Atlantica really aren't much different from one another. If you've seen the Spirit or Pride, the Legend uses a bit different to very different decorative elements, but the layout is the same, amenities, the same. Costa Atlantica is very similar. Some feel the Pride and Spirit are nicer than the Legend.

I think, with most ships, once the first of the series is out, the rest of the series is pretty similar. I've only found the Celebrity Century class ships to be really different inside from one another. But the new Millennium ships are all the same, the Princess Golden and Grand are the same, the HAL ships are very similar, NCL's Sun and Sky, etc.

Thanks to all.......
