Hi Jersey Girl,
Native Californian. San Diego is nice. Make sure you take the trolley to Old Town area and visit Balboa Park. Lots to do there. Enjoy

Hi Debbie,
How was your cruise on Spirit to Alcapulco? How was food? Which deck was cabin? My husband and I are going (8 day from San Diego) on Oct 27. Appreciate suggestions and pointers on excursions.
We are in cabin 8268-I like being one deck below Lido because I can run up in the morning and bring coffee and snax down and sit on the balcony and watch the sun rise without waiting for DH to wake up or room service to come. CAN'T WAIT! :thumb
Order room service and you won't have to leave the room. We always have breakfast on the balcony. When you order coffee they bring you a pot full. There are order forms in your room and you put down the time you want it. We have even written in what we wanted and got it. Give the server a buck or two and they are happy.

6packEd, we do that too. DH gets up later than I do. I am up really early and I can run up and get my coffee and treats, bring them down to the balcony and watch the sun rise. We usually have more coffee and fruit and danish from room service about 8 when DH gets up. THEN we go up and have breakfast at the buffet :thumb What a life :grin I go to work about 5:45-6am and make the lst pot of coffee. Those first days back in my office are absolute TORTURE thinking of those days on our balcony. :cry

You must be adding something to that early morning coffee to keep you going all day Karry, 6am and running up to the Lido deck don't go in the same sentence in my book! :lol

Jetblue, the "awful" thing is they usually don't have anything set up until about 6:30. I am a MORNING PERSON. I am up no later than 4:30am, in the shower, warming up the car and in my office about 5:45. No matter how late I stay up (or how many frozen thingys I drank :dizzy) I am still up at the crack of dawn even on vacation. Old habits die hard. But I wouldn't trade sleeping in for anything. There is something so very special about sitting out on a balcony when you are in the middle of the ocean and watching the day start. The ocean spread out before you, the sun rising in the sky to greet you...It is like that WOW feeling when you walk on a ship for the lst time. I love to relax on vacations, but one thing I don't do is SLEEP. Why bother being there if your eyes are closed to the beauty surrounding you. But like I said, those lst few days back at my office are really a "come back to reality" time. :( :( Can't like it!!!!
I'm going on the Spirit on 2/18/08 to Acapulco et al. Anyone else?

Debbie
That means you arrive in Acapulco on Feb 21, which is the day we were leaving Acapulco. Remember waiting for the Norwegian Jade to clear so the Carnival Spirit could dock? I was on the Jade. I got a few good picture of the Carnival Spirit in the harbor as we were leaving.
