Hi Everbody

Is anybody aware whether there is still the masked ball onboard the Constellation, I believe
it is on the same night that the CDS perform, not heard much about this on the cruise web
sites. If anybody has been I would be grateful to know how fellow passengers dress etc.

Many thanks for any help

Becker,

When we were on in November, it was just the 2nd week of the CDS performance, and I am not sure whether they had really settled what they were going to do at that time. None the less, they did still hold the ball. It had poor turnout, and those attending were in a mixture of outfits. A few white, as requested, but mostly just normal assortment of cruise wear. There were a few masks bought from the CDS store on board, but just as many home made ones.

Hi

My wife and I have just booked our first ever cruise for Dec 18 06 Ultimate Caribbean and would appreciate any/all advice or suggestions. We are in a stateroom with balcony on the Penthouse Deck, does anyone know if the Life boats obstruct any of the view. Also i am into the casino, can anyone explain how it works with the cashless system.

Hi Addict1

Coincidences!! Me and my husband are also booked on the Constellation for 18 December 2006 and we also like the Casino (not high rollers though)! It is also our first cruise so we look forward to reading your replies. Did I get in first with the Username (I have used this one for years on many forums, was amazed I was allowed it on here, was sure it would be gone).

Hello Addicts!

The Constellation life boats do not obstruct your view to sea except straight down. Said another way, the top of the life boats are several feet below the decking of your balcony, so if you are looking straight out to sea, or even slightly downward, they are not in your line of sight. But, if you are standing on the balcony and look directly down at the sea, you could have a slightly hampered view. Trust me, it really is not a problem.

The casino really isn't cashless, like the rest of the ship. You go to a window and either "purchase" chips with cash or charge them to your shipboard account. After play, you redeem cash for your chips. It is much like any other casino.

Enjoy your cruise.

the top of the life boats are just below you so depending on where your room is in relation to how the boats hang in line you may not be able to see straight down very well. Looking out at things in general will be just fine. Nothing in your way at all.
