I forgot to mention that the food in the main restaurant was unimaginative and boring. Breakfast in our cabin was very rarely what we chose and was always stone cold. Lunch was okay nothing special. On our dinner table for 8 one person every night sent their main course back. I agree that out of the two RCI ships we have sailed on for us there were too many people on the Mariner, but there were no queues on the Splendour just excellent well presented food everywhere! and of course no tattiness anywhere. As you say to each his own!
