Ok well Im going to post something short on this trip. Overall it was an ok trip.I HIGHLY suggest going to PR a day or two before your cruise and see it while you are not rushing to get back on the boat.My husband and I saw Old San Juan in 2 days and it was gorgeous! We loved Old San Juan!!
We got to the ship around 11 am on Sunday. They let us in early. It wasn't bad to embark. We were about 30th on line and it went quickly. We got in and checked out the ship, it is beautiful.I personally liked the futuristic decor.
On to the trip itself....
St Thomas: Did the Historical Tour. Figured if i was paying all this money to go on a cruise and get on this island, I wasnt going to pay to sit on a beach. I was going to learn something. The tour was fun and our guide was hysterical. It lasted a couple of hours then we headed off to try and do some shopping and get something to eat.
Martinique:Again, did a Historical Tour.Saw much of the island.Very pretty although people selling are pushy. You can only say so many no thank you's before you start ignoring them all.
Barbados:Originally signed up for the Horseback Riding Adventure but got cancelled b/c not too many people signed up for it.How could people NOT sign up for this? Are they crazy? So we went to Harrisons Cave,It was nice but not like my original plans. We headed straight back to the ship and did not see anything of the island.Weren't really interested in it.
Day At Sea...finally got to relax.
Aruba:The MOST BEAUTIFUL island. You get off the ship and it is something out of a painting. It's like Las vegas in the Carribean. We took a Historical Tour (Town and Country I thnk). We saw the Natural bridge and the lighthouse etc...Afterwards we grabbed something to eat at La Petite Cafe. This place is absolutely awesome. It's at the mall by the pier. You walk off the ship straight to the main strip, make a right and youll see it on your left side.I recommend the conch fritters for an appetizer and the shrimp on the stone.Youll see what I mean when you order it!We then went jetskiing. We grabbed a cab and just told them, take us where the jetski's are.A great half hour, not too expensive (90 dollars for 2 jetskis for half an hour). We went back to the ship, ate dinner, then went back out with some friends we met on the ship and partied at Carlos n Charlies'.AWESOME time!Aruba wa definitely our favorite place.
Day At Sea....Got time to relax and sunburn!
Again, the ship was ok. The food was alright. I didnt think the buffets were as good as our first cruise on the Paradise. Also the dinners were not prepared as good, but still were ok.
The club's rule of being 15 and over can be changed. We all complained about it.I dont know about most of you btu most adults I know dont wanna party with 15 yr olds.
We found this ship to be a bit more clickish. There were like 4 sweet 15's going on and they had huge amounts of people who already knew one another. It was a little rowdy,as one of my friends I met on the ship called it, ghetto. We found people on our first cruise to be much friendlier.I dont know if it was when we took the cruise. My cousin took this cruise twice before and had different comments about it.(all good). The Lido restaurant smelled sometimes.Like when you take a wet dishrag and clean tables over and over without disinfecting it again?Makes u gag at times.
Any other questions, dont hesitate to ask.
I wanna go on another cruise!!!!
