WOW George!!! How many people were killed in the helicopter crash? Where was it??

George, Courtney and I were talking about going to Arizona for a few days in October. Is Scottsdale a fun vacation-like spot? Where in Arizona are there cool places to visit for shopping, nightlife and fun places to see?

George - one more post and you would've gotten it. Bummer. And I wish that you did mean hellicopter parts. EW!!!!

I was freaking out a little yesterday. We had 3 inches of rain in less than 3 hours. Streets were flooded everywhere - water even came into the hospital while I was at work. And of course, I was having flashbacks to two summers ago when our house flooded. Greg was home, though, and he was giving me the play by play of how things were going. The creek in our back yard did overflow, but it receeded quickly so everything was fine. The bad news is that tomorrow we are supposed to have another day of storms but we are both at work, so I am hoping that things stay okay here at the house.

Ah yes, Brady Quinn. We are glad that he finally signed, and all will probably be forgiven after a few touchdown passes. We are really not sure what the hold up was, other than $500,000 in salary, which is peanuts to him. We've been hearing that he was holding out for incentives, but we haven't heard anything about the incentives yet, so who knows! Saturday night we'll be glued to the TV for the first pre-season game, and we're hearing that he might not be ready to play.

And how about Barry Bonds? Let me be the first of the Cats to say "boooo!"

That's it for sports chat this morning. Off to work to knock off another day on the work countdown!

George the post was for Sheree about the purses, but since we were going to be there at night I left in the safety thing too.

That is so sad about the helicopter crash and I would just DIE if I found some body parts.

Sheree to answer about polish, I sitll have not had a pedicure since the jeep tri where i jacked up my toenail. Hope tp get one soon but I probally will keep to Cajun shrimp just becasue I have it and am to chee to buy any more.

Have a great day all

Oh yes Dan Employee of the month was a STUPID movie. Evenit it was filmed at costco. Don't waste your money. I actually thought it was Sams. I hope stuff like that does not really go on at Cosco...... :)

Greetings Cats,

Are you going to book next year's cruise while onboard? We are thinking about booking while on our cruise. The onboard credit sounds wonderful to us.

Have you heard about the Mariner leaving Port Canaveral to LA? Hope RCCL sends another mega ship our way.

I Wish we were cruising together this year!

Regina, I haven't seen Employee of the Month yet! I might want to see it though! I will see it when it goes to cable!

Barb, I can't wait for the Mariner of the Seas to reposition to LA!!! I would LOVE to sail on her again!!!

Re: Give Me Liberty or Give Me the Big Cats 9/15/07 (or Give Me Both!)

I saw Employee of the Month and thought it was stupid and funny, which sadly is my kind of movie sometimes.

Tonight we are finally watching Napoleon Dynamite.

Today my boss said to me, "what are those little x's on your computer?" And I said, "um, nothing." Then I had to tell her that it was countdown of the number of workdays I have until my cruise. She said, "is this job that bad?" And I had to tell her, "somedays it is......"

5 weeks from now I'll be on my vacation. Yoo-hoo!

Hi All
I am driving to Deland tomorrow after work (2hr drive) to pick up the part for bobbies van. The guy only wants $10 for it. He told me he has lots of VW parts so I guess this will be like a shopping trip for Bobbies van :)
Hope all is well

Good evening all,

Dan, I have to agree with Regina's assessment of the movie! Like so many other "young" males, I found myself focused on other attributes of the movie, rather than the plot :D If I were Costco, I would print a disclaimer that one of their stores were held hostage for one night to film this movie and by no means are they a willing participant in the making of this movie. Obviously based on the plot and fine acting performances, one night filming was more than sufficient.

Barb, I seem to recall some chatter about this very topic a few months back. The Mariner does sound like a reasonably priced preclude to our 2009 Alaska cruise.

I'll second that!

Everyone game for poker/uno/football on Sunday?

Nancy we will just miss you in San Juan then as I think we are there on the 17th if memory serves me right. If we sail Saturday and Sunday is a sea day we must be in San Juan on Monday afternoon.

Enjoy your cruise.

Hello Cats,

We sailed on the Mariner last year. We would like to go on a different ship next year. Are you waiting until after this cruise to decide?

Great to hear from you Nancy! I would love to go on the itinerary you are going on, but it requires flying.

Mother doesn't handle the pressure of flying. Her blood pressure went sky high flying to Vegas. Last year's cruise didn't bother her at all.

Dan,
The Mariner will be sailing the Mexican Riviera from the west coast in 09. I would love to sail the Mexican Riviera too.

Regina,
Keep Tommy out of trouble.

Hi everyone - Jim, sounds like you'll have your own little shopping paradise after work today. Hope you find better parts than George's coworkers were finding! :)

Nancy - enjoy your cruise. It's a good thing to have a cruise to look forward to.

And Barb, I am sorry for not answering your question yesterday too - I saw it at work and then when I got home and I was able to post, I forgot to comment on it. Greg and I are planning on purchasing the "next cruise" option that our TA for this cruise had recommended. You basically put $100 down per person, and get $100 on board credit per cabin, and you apply that deposit towards a future RCCL cruise. You've got something like 4 or 5 years to use the credit. and you can transfer it back to your TA. We're planning on doing that because we know we'll be on RCCL again in the next couple of years, since it's our favorite cruiseline. According to Lori, it's the best way to "book on board" and get the perks, except you don't have to commit to a specific cruise. She said that we can combine that with any perks we can then get as a group, so it's a nice bonus.

Ok...off to work. It's so humid here I don't even know why I do my hair in the morning!

Re: Give Me Liberty or Give Me the Big Cats 9/15/07 (or Give Me Both!)

Hi everyone, I am finally almost back to normal from this insane cold. Having the big garage sale tomorrow and saturday....we have moved a few things to my sisters and hopefully this weekend I can get a bunch more moved. The heat is killing us here, I think it is the hottest it has ever been, it is like walking out into an over with no air circulation.....I am not looking forward to a two day garage sale...lol

Nancy, don't sweat it, we still love you....Have a fab cruise.

Jim, good luck with the trip for bobbies part.

Dee and I toured the Carnival Legend on Sunday, we had a fabulous time, we got to tour the whole ship, we had lunch in the dining room with wine and filet of beef, all i can say is the food was fantastic, much better than on a regular cruise....lol We sat with the carnival rep and had a spectacular time. The ship was beautiful but not as fabulous as we thought from seeing photos, we were originally suppose to sail that ship before we switched to the Glory and we are so glad we ended up on the glory more for meeting the cats but now that we saw the Legend we are no longer wanting to go on this ship.

Well I am off must finish up so I can get home at 6pm and prepare the dreaded garage sale...Pray we make oodles of money.lol

have a great day

See you cats in 5 weeks! Yippee!

Cris - glad you are finally snapping out of that cold. Good luck with the garage sale. We are doing one on the Friday and Saturday of Labor Day weekend. We probably won't make tons of money but it'll be nice to get the junk out of the house.

Jim - hope you found good pieces parts.

And I hope everyone else is doing well. I am off to work. Bleck.

Chris,
Good luck with the sale and glad that you are feeling better.

TGIF. Been a rough week for me.

Went to a funeral last night for a friend of mine that was only 52 years old. He has been in the hospital for the last 2 1/2 months. He was a fairly healthy guy, ate well, worked out and then one day had pains in his side, they got worse he went to emercency room and never came home. He was dianosed with pancreatis. It just went down hill from there. he was in a drug induced coma for many weeks to help with the pain and after 2 1/2 months he passed away. Man was that a sad funeral. At any rate I am sure he is in a better place. He was such a great guy so full of life and always happy ( and so young).

Okay I feel better now, you all have a great weekend. Count your blessings and live your live to the fullest as you just never know what may happen tommorrow.
