Just for fun. How many states have you been to and which did you like best? My count is 27 and Hawaii is my #1. Its the only one I have been too where I seriously considered missing my flight and becoming a bum. :)

Try this link for a list to make it easy to count -

Wow, I'd have to really think about that question. But I know my dd has been to all of them at least once, because of her job. She buys her brother a key chain from each place she visits. He has quite a collection now :)

One place I'd really like to see is the New England States. I've never been and we've been thinking about doing it next summer.

Favorite...that's a tough one, but I think I'd say Alaska. It's what I imagine heaven to look like.

Good question Mr. Tuck!

I thought my count was higher, but I've been to more foreign islands than US states(sad). Our count is 18, and I'm stuck between 2 favorites. Vermont in the summer, North Carolina (Pinehurst) in the winter.

I counted 20 that I actually "visited". I did not count the states in which I had to make an air connection or that we just drove through with an overnight stay or something. It's 21 if you count the District of Columbia! :) Not too bad for a Canuck!

My favourite by miles is Hawaii. I am as big a Hawaii addict as I am a cruise addict! Colorado is my next favourite.

30 states + DC. I'll admit several of them we just drove through. There are some that I didn't count because I was too young to remember.
I prefer Southern California, simply because of the weather. I can't stand the humidity or sold damp conditions that are an important part of otherwise wonderful places.

The biggest hole in my map is the north central states and anything north of New York. There are a few South Eastern states that we missed.

I've been to all of them except Maine, Vermont, Minnesota, Alaska, Washington and Oregon. I grew up in Illinois. My mother had a brother in California and one in Oklahoma, so we took cross country trips to see them when I was a kid. My brother went to school in CT and I lived in FL for a while, so all states were covered except a few in the north. Which one did I like best? Probably Florida because it's so tropical. I'd really like to see Oregon since I've heard so many good things about it. We really live in a beautiful country. I love it that the states are all so unique.

I am fortunate enough to have been in 49 States plus DC... I am only missing Hawaii (Hint, Hint Dear:lol)

I was lucky enough to grow up in a household where my Dad had 6 weeks vacation every year and Loved to go on road trips... up and out of the Holiday Inn by 5:30am putting hundreds of mile on the station wagon before stopping for the day around 3 in the afternoon.

I would most like to revisit New England since I was under 10 years old when we did that (1967) and don't have strong memories of there.

My favorite state would have to be Oregon. Such beauty and diversity - Deserts, Mountains, fertile farm valleys, big cities, MARVELOUS coastline.

I've only been to about 10 states, plus Japan LOL. My favorite so far is Ohio because I love the rural farmland. Very interesting what memories stand out from those early childhood travels: the herds of cows in Wyoming, the huge piles of snow in Illinois, the humidity in Florida, Crater lake plus the wood mill smoke stacks in Oregon, and the open houses on the Navy ships in San Diego. LOL
