I have actually been to 18 plus DC. I didn't count the states that I have just driven through. I think that my favorite is Colorado because of it's diverse scenery (and I just took a trip there =COOL). I really want to go to Alaska and Hawaii.

Hmmm I counted 25 plus DC.. my parents had a second home in Fairfax, Virginia for 22 plus years.. and I'd drive/fly to get there..

having been a Miltary Bride I got the "invitation". officially from the Government of driving all of ones belongings to many places stationed all over the USA.....

I count Connecticut, and Colorado as 2 of my favorite states.. with Maine, and Virginia a very close roundout..neat question Bob...:)..Joanne..

I've been to 41 + DC.

It's hard to say a favorite because there are qualifiers - I adore Hawaii, but would I really want to live there? Probably no. I love Pennsylvania - my state of birth. But would I want to move back there? Probably no. I've lived in Arizona 26 years (can't believe it's been that long!) - I'm not unhappy here...

Mariposa: "My favorite so far is Ohio because I love the rural farmland."
This surprised me...I've lived in Ohio my entire life (60+) and I don't think I've ever heard anyone say Ohio was their favorite state to visit. The rural farmland is getting more and more scarce, at least in the Northern half of the state. I grew up in a very small, rural town that has, sadly, more than tripled in population in the past 20 years.
I've been to 18 states with Alaska being my favorite. Maine runs a close second, but alas, I too have never gotten to Hawaii.
