Ya know Skip, I think i have it figured out. Perhaps what it is..is that they are mirroring the attitude given to THEM by them. It's been a long time since I've since such a poor poor pitiful me attitude. I'd tell you to enjoy your cruise, but my thought is..no matter how fabulous it could be, I'm sure you'll find something to complain about.

I ordered a brochure for Hal online and then they called and said that some info was missing and took the info over the phone. That was back in April and I still have not received any brochure. So Skip by your standards of customer service I guess Hal is also lacking. The point is people make mistakes, E-mails do get lost in cyber space brochures get lost in the mail and so on. All we are saying is don't be so hard on them and give them a chance to fix the problem. And at least wait to sail on them before saying you will not sail with them again. I can't think of one cruise line that I have not heard something neg. about at some time or another.

hi i sent a e-mail to celebrity after travelocity told me it was up to celebrity to post the credit.you see i really do not know who should give the credit but i know celebrity did not e-mail me back travelocity did e-mail back saying it is up to celebrity to post credit. celebrity is the one that put the charge on my credit card and cruise was paid in full. now you know why i think celebrity should take the time to e-mail me back. and you are wrong i will enjoy my cruise. they say what goes around comes around.

Skip,

You were asking about the age of the passengers. The target passenger for HAL is the over 55 crowd with and average age of 65. Carnival target is over 18, Royal Caribbean is over 25, Princess is over 30, Celebrtiy is over 35. Those are target, not who actually cruises. So you do get older and younger people on all cruises, but the activities are set toward the given age group. Plus, did any of the documentation fro the rebate say when is would be given. I know if I were Travelocity or Celebrity, I wouldn't give the credit until you actually sail. There would be too much liability in reabting before the cruise, what if you cancel? Take notice, no one is on your side here. I think that goes to show what we all think of Celebrity, keep that in mind as you have a wonderful cruise. Don't go into the cruise with a bad attitude. A cruise is what you make of it and if you go into the cruise with a bad attitdue that is how you will see the cruise not matter how good or bad it actually is. Come back and tell us about your cruise and how you liked the cruise.

As I said before E-mails get lost, they may not have even received it. They have a 1-800 # you really need to speak to someone in person. The cyber thing only goes so far. If you really want to be sure you even reach them you should call.

As I understood it the rebates were to be AFTER sailing and that is when I received my rebate gift card- several wks after sailing. I wouldn't expect that any company would want to give a rebate while there was still a possibility of the customer cancelling the trip.

I didn't get it because that is not the deal I got.Mine is not the same as yours.Mine is to be paid AFTER my cruise is completed and will be in the form of a prepaid mastercard. Travelocity runs several promo's and the one I booked under is from them not the cruise line so the money will be coming from them not RCCL.

HI enought has been said. i am sure i will get the credit one way or other. and i am not looking for anybody to take my side i am a big boy and can take are of myself . i was just letting anyone know if you book with travelocity things my not go as they say. and celebrity has been no help. next time i will stay with a t/a as i have done in the past.so now you need to find someone new to bash. 3-e-mails to celebrity no reply travelocity still says celebrity is the one to post credit. things will work out. ship (century ) and crew have nothing to do with this and i will enjoy this cruise the same as the last 6. (longest being 18 days )

Skip,
Noone has BASHED YOU.All that anyone was saying was to give them a chance to fix it that is not bashing by anyones term. And once again I really think you should stop the e-mails and get on the phone and talk to a human.Computers only do so much. And you are right enough has been said and you will either take our suggestions or you won't. I for one will con tinue to sail Celebrity and love every minute of it and if I have any problems I will take my own advise and call. But I have been sailing with them for several years now problem free.

Skip, you are helping us form an opinion of you. First you say it's all Celebritys fault you haven't gotten your $100 back and they you blame Travelocity. Oh I know you are blaming Celebrity only for not ansering your EMail. I have had one reason to Email them and got my answer in about a week or so. Why you didn't hear back could be how you put your words together. You sound like a little angry old man. Either that or you haven't dealt with many customer service dept in the past 5 or 10 years. They get very busy and are generally understaffed. All cruise lines have this problem which does not reflect the overall cruise you will be taking. If you just chill out I am sure you will have a wonderful experience. If you don't chill out and go into the cruise with a chip on your shoulder you will have no one to blame other than yourself.

Instead of e-mailing them and wasting time trashing them on this forum why not just call them. It seams to me that you are just trying to put them down for some reason. Do you have a phone.?

I do fair amount of purchasing online and found that when problems pop up it's always best to call instead of emails. You get faster and definitive service. However, whether to your liking or not is a different story. At least with person on other end, I can at least voice my concerns, displeasure, or gratitude and resolve issues quickly.
