I should have known you would see the post about Voyager. It's a long story and I have to go out right now, so I will come back later and tell you.

I have not booked it yet it is still on hold......

A friend wanted me to go with her and because we already had the Splendour booked for next month I said no. Anyway I find out the other day she is booked as a third person with her son and friend sharing a cabin. Now her son is a strange person and I am not thrilled about being on the same ship with him but I told her if she wanted we could share a cabin. But they had already made the booking as a group with Vacations to go and I am trying to get them to cancel her cabin and switch to mine so at least her payment goes against my cabin....or I may not go if I have to pay the whole thing........I should have kept my mouth shut. I have a feeling I may regret it. She is a very sweet person, but very flaky...... Only compensation is Barbara and Gerry along with some other CC buddies are on board so I can always hang out with them if needs be........

It seemed that with my diamond discount it was only going to cost an extra $100 for the balcony, but I don't want to pay for the whole cabin.

Then this weird son called me and told me I should call and tell RCCL that they should give me the cabin for the single price. I was furious that he should try to take over my booking, so I told him thanks, but no thanks...........I am a big girl so I can handle it by myself........ Oh Joy.

The other reason I never said anything was I didn't want to mention it when Barbara had canceled for tomorrow. I thought it might be bit indelicate......

Do you think once I pay they might tell me what cabin I have as a guarantee? Or will I have to wait till the pier.......that is if I ever go......Hope you can understand all this......

I know Kathy will know the answer but have read several threads on guarantee and some get their room immediately and some have to wait....

As of now I still have not heard whether she has been able to get hold of her TA. So right now I still don't know, but am not sure how long the website will hold my res.

They will hold it for 24 hrs.............You can find out what cabin you get anytime from payment till the pier....i always found out after final payment......

Good luck with this one Kate,......you must want to go pretty bad......would not like to pay the solo supplement myself......

Kathy, I am not paying the solo supplement myself. That is why I was waiting to get her canceled with her original booking. She is now on my booking and will pay me the difference. I owe this lady a big favor. She has taken care of my baby for years when I am out of town. I just have to try stay away from her son, who creeps out my family.

Anyway. I wish it was you guys I was going to be sailing with, but I will try to enjoy it anyway.

I watched Dancing with the Stars, but it was not as good as the new ones.

Barb is excited I am going so if all else fails I will hang out with them and Brad and DW who I have sailed with before.

It's hard to explain but my friends son is a bit creepy. I want to avoid him as much as possible. Alan said he wouldn't sail with him. Sounds terrible doesn't it. But I don't want to offend my friend. I have told her not to tell the others we are late seating as I do not want to end up dining with this guy.......Oh I hope I haven't made a big mistake.....:help

I have a friend who was cruising with her son (creepy) and his friend and she was going to share a cabin (weird) with these two guys in their late 30's. I thought that was a bit weird so I suggested that if I went she could share with me. I owe her big for taking care of the cat.

Last night I discovered that another lady I used to work with and her DH will also be on the cruise. Also Barb and Gerry along with Dianne (happy2fly) and Brad (captbrad) all of whom I have sailed with.

My friend is a nice person but she is very flaky and a bit nervy, so I might need a break (quite a lot) We have 166 signed up for the M&M so there should be plenty of others. First night they are doing a pub crawl.So I hope to be up for that. The last Voyager cruise didn't have very good reviews. Don't know if you read the thread. But I will enjoy it whatever. I got my cabin assigned I paid for a guarantee balcony and I got a D1 on deck 6 , so I am pleased about that. It appears the cruise is close to selling out so I doubt if I can better that. I know Cookie may not be able to get in the CL with me, on the other hand I may be glad to have somewhere to escape to.........Does that sound awful??:help

Not awful at all.............you might mention how its really a shame shes not D and wont be able to go in the CL........like you said,you might need a break.......

I cruised twice with friends before and I know I needed a break.......and that was on a short cruise!

I know I am torn between trying to get her in and having someplace to escape to....I will play it by ear, and see what happens. Everyone needs to have some space and it is 7 nights........so I hear ya...
