Kathy, she came with me one time. Did I tell you she changed her dinner seating time. After the first night with us, she decided to switch to be with her family. Can't say I blame her for that. I had suggested it in the first place. So since we were on different times it didn't work out for her to come anyway. I just went there on my own and met some other folk I knew and made some new friends. You always meet the nicest people on cruises.

As far as the new editing........ I guess we better not put in any swear words then change our minds and try to erase them

Brad and Chinny. We had met them on the Splendour a year before and had shared a table them in fact and we all got invited to Captains table together. I knew they were on the roll call and had contacted then and linked my booking to their's for dinner. So I knew I was going to be fine. Brad is a 737 Captain with Continental Airlines and Chinny is Korean. I think he met her when he was in the military. I won't tell you what Brad thought about Cookie's son Peter.

There were quite a few airline Pilots on board I also met the chief pilot for Air Canada in the CL who was a delightful man and his charming wife. We all had lunch together on the last day when we had the P/D/D+ lunch.

We were all supposed to go on the bridge tour, but it got canceled because of the weather last day.(td) Never mind. Another time. Maybe on the TA this year.

We were walking along the Royal Promenade and Cookie and her party were sitting at the Pig and Whistle when Peter got up to tell Brad how he had seen this guy who was one of the Show Magicians in a state of undress. I will not say on here what he actually said, but Brad was furious that this guy should say something like that to him when he was with his wife. Alan does not ever want to be around him. He is creepy. Like Brad said guys don't talk to each other about that kind of stuff.......women maybe, but other guys.........

Woke with a tight wheezy chest so I am hoping it doesn't develop into something. It's a beautiful day here. I am forwarding you the email I got from Dave about the Longhorn Event. In case you find you want to come.......:party

Hi, all!

Wow! What a busy w/e....flu in full swing.(td)

This guy Peter sounds like the pits!!

I really want to try the Solstice, but need to wait until our EOS cruise in May to figure out what is going on with our credits....if they make us Diamond after that cruise, may look at Solstice, but want to make Diamond before they change the requirements.

Just talking to Lee that we have no cruises booked after this November !! He said "win the lottery!" :lol

Kate- take care of your chest....I'm still coughing...woke up twice last night. I hate being sick.

Kathy- see you are on now, too! Have a good day!!!

Morning.......

Just this morning Dennis is "plotting" what cruise he wants to take in spring of 09......he really wants to do the Alaska/ PacCoastal, but I told him thats in the fall,so no can do...........

Let me ask you both.........why are we waiting till the fall of 09?? Is that cuz when most can go?? Just wondering......2 years in between seems so long considering we are all planning trips anyway...

As far as your credits Martha......I know you have told me before, but how many do you have?? and how many does RCCL say you have?? If you have more,I wouldnt give up the fight to get it straightened out.............email...........write a letter (with proof).......

Thanks again Kate for your defense.......but some like to "argue" and thats the way it is..........In no way,did I say anything rude(this time--hahah).........

I don't know why we are waiting, but isn't it cheaper to travel in the fall? That would be a big reason for us...but we are open to any time...elections seem to get in the way...I know we messed up by taking the 5/3 cruise...Lee misses some days. What are you looking at??

We really have 6 credits, but C&A online says 5 credits and cruise history says 9...I have emailed and the response was they are working on it....so I tried to call and got a real smart aleck...that surprised me and she said she could take it all away....I said just leave it...then Lee called and asked how many credits he had and they said 9.....if they won't fix it after I tried and they want to make us Diamond after our EOS cruise, I'm going to quit trying to be honest....if they correct it, after our Nov. cruise, we should really have 9 credits... does that make any sense?? =huh

Have y'all ever had trouble with a roll call being empty????
I started one for the AOS and only 1 other person has joined....it has a C&A coupon, so I thought it would fill up, but nobody has come on it....maybe it's me!

I would ask once again for the list of your completed cruises(not just have many credits)............and see what they have...........and go from there...........

Im not looking at anything in particular....just wondeirng why we wait so long when it seems we are all cruising anyway......if fall works best, thats ok..........

I think I remember Tom saying they can only afford to cruise every other year d/t cost. Their airfare is outrageous!!

Thats fine.......I was just wondering......

To answer your roll call question.my GR one was like that........some would stop by with one post, never to be seen again.............There was one other who posted more, but it was like one word answers............nothing at all like our roll calls.... Wonder what became of heather(?)...the one who was getting married on our AOS cruise...

Reading what you are all saying. Martha, I wonder if the reason for the lack of interest in the AOS roll call is because a lot of the cruisers are from S.A. and may not be aware of the roll call. I don't mean by that, that you will have a problem on that ship as some folks suggest, but it may be why you are not getting a response. Yes Kathy, wonder what happened with Heather........

As far as I am concerned we don't have to wait till the fall of 09 just going along with what everyone wants to do. I realize it's difficult for everyone to get the time off and also get the best airfares, as well.

I was just looking at your bookings and you are sailing within a week of one another out of Fl..... The 7 night Mariner is costing $99 a day and the 5 Enchantment day is $103 a day. Seems a shame not to be able to hook up.

Now the Voyager is sailing 4/20 for about the same price, what if I can persuade Alan ? Then maybe you could all come to Houston.......................then we could do the BBQ at the Ranch............................X(

Hi, everyone!
We already have plane tickets for FLL, sorry..... Would have loved to have done MOS, but didn't see it when we booked EOS...maybe next time!

I think Heather is on another AOS cruise...wasn't she on another roll call shortly after we left ?

Have been looking at cruises and trying to figure out what else to do in 2009.....and into 2010. Lee will be 60...maybe they will straighten out the Hawaii mess by then...maybe we will win the lottery and will really be able to go!!

Later................

Did you see all the dining options on the Solstice?? WOW!!

The Grand Épernay
Old Hollywood glamour meets stunning contemporary design in this refined, sweeping main dining room created by Adam Tihany, highlighted by a distinctive, dramatic, two-story glass wine tower. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, evening entrée options include peppered bison filet with red onion preserve; smoked filet with lentil stew, sultana caper and beef jus; and taro-crusted salmon filet with glazed Brussels sprouts, turnip hash and apple cider sauce. A champagne collection from the region inspiring the venue's name includes Perrier Jouet Grand Brut, Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon, Heidsieck and Monopole, Champagne Pol Roger, and Louis Roederer Cristal.

Tuscan Grille
The Old World charm of Italy is the inspiration behind this Tihany-designed specialty venue, where guests enter through an archway reminiscent of a fine Napa Valley wine cellar. There, diners can enjoy Caesar salads prepared tableside, antipasti bar, Kobe beef, and a variety of steaks, all paired with a robust list of fine Italian wines.

Silk Harvest
Exotic Asia is the theme of this contemporary, casual specialty restaurant designed by RTKL. The menu serves up a fusion of hot and cold, spicy and mild Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese and Indian selections, while the specially-selected libations include a variety of sakes, Asian-influenced martinis and beers, and cocktails created with ginger root and acai berries.

Blu
"Clean cuisine" is served in this soothing specialty venue designed by Celebrity's own Newbuilding and Design team. A venue exclusively for guests booked in Celebrity Solstice's new AquaClass category of accommodations, Blu is open for other guests on a space-available basis. The menu features savory appetizers such as roasted beet salad with goat cheese; Mediterranean chopped salad with pita chips and pomegranate vinaigrette; and entrees including blackened ahi tuna, pan-seared filet mignon, and herb-crusted rack of lamb.

Murano
A twist on the restaurant of the same name on Celebrity Century, and reflective of the specialty restaurants on the cruise line's Millennium-class fleet, Murano presents a blend of classic and modern Continental cuisine. The warm, elegant restaurant designed by BG Studios of New York features dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows, with romantic ocean views that pair beautifully with the fine Riedel stemware, exquisite bone china and gleaming silverware. The wine cellar offers options from around the world, with a focus on boutique-style and limited-production vintages. Appetizers include warm goat cheese pancakes with sweet bell pepper nage; salads include a combination of Maine lobster, white asparagus and black truffle lobster aioli; and entrees run the gamut from spice-roasted duck with raisin-apple compote to pan-seared turbot with Alaskan King crab ragout.

Bistro on Five
A variety of specialty crepes highlight the menu in this casually-chic location, where guests are welcome to take out selections, but the ocean views are likely to entice them to stay. Designed by Wilson Butler Associates, the venue's creperie is complemented with sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts and entrees including quiche, fish and chips, baked ziti and chicken pot pie nearly around-the-clock.

Café al Bacio & Gelateria
This upscale coffeehouse radiates all the energy of a popular European café, highlighted by a sophisticated gelateria serving authentic gelatos and Italian ices, as well as signature and specialty coffees, teas, fresh-baked pastries, chocolate truffles and petit fours.

AquaSpa Café
The AquaSpa Café is the perfect option for guests seeking quick, lighter fare. A signature venue introduced on Celebrity's Millennium-class fleet, and designed by RTKL, the soothing, airy setting invites guests to dine at comfortable tables while soaking up the tranquility of the Solarium, or enjoy their cuisine while nestled in the comfort of the lounge chairs.

Mast Grill & Bar
Comfort food is the focus of this ultra-casual, poolside venue, where the simple, fast and tasty options include burgers grilled to order, tacos, nachos, hot dogs, bratwurst, chicken wings, lamb gyros, Reuben sandwiches, and onion rings.

Oceanview Café and Grill
Embodying the casually chic atmosphere of a European marketplace, this Tihany-designed restaurant offers extensive menus with international flavors that change to reflect the regions in which the ship is sailing. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the venue offers plenty of outdoor seating for dining al fresco and soaking up the sun and sea air. Inside, during evening hours, a special section of the venue features tables draped with linen tablecloths for yet another casual dining option.
