Hi Girls,
I am back and shattered. We had a wonderful night, and ended up in the bar after the party singing around the piano.
( kinda like the piano bar on the Jewel) It was nearly 3:00 AM before I got to bed.
I had a number of compliments by a few guys who told me I looked stunning. That really did a lot for my ego. The dress was pretty cute and I have lost a lot of weight. Now I have to keep it off. I got a super French polish manicure( my own nails) and the Affair in Red Square on the toes. ( love that color) Also got a sharp new haircut. Boy I really needed that night out. A lot of people asked me where Alan was since he is a Patron of the G&S Society. I told them all he was out of Town and Lindsey said that was a classy thing to say and do she said she was proud of me.
Now I have to see the reply to the Petition from my attorney. They sent it to Lindsey by mistake. She was a bit concerned that it was very aggressive. I really do not need this to go to court and cost me a lot of money as it will all come out of my settlement. So I will have to talk to the attorney again. I have no real experience in this. Maybe that is how the respondent is supposed to answer. In any case keep me in your prayers as this is not done yet and I don't want it to get nasty. That would kill me.
Two of my other cruising buddies, madforcruising----Gunnar, and tocanada.-- andrew, from the PC cruise have sent me their love and hugs. Gunnar said if I take the Euostar under the chunnel to Belgium he will come and meet me......Aaahh isn't that nice. I have friends all over the world, some have know us for many years who are totally shocked by all of this. Nobody understands it.
Oh well. Now to look forward to my cruise. Hi Kathy :wave I see you are on.

Kate- glad to see you had a wonderful time!! You certainly deserved it. Did anyone do any pictures of you? We would love to see the "new" you. You always look stunning; just glad several people re enforced that. Now I guess you need to recuperate tomorrow! :lol

You shouldnt have to pay much of anything to the lawyer.....maybe you will lay out some money initially,but since "a" is the one who wants it,he should have to pay................ask your lawyer about that........

Thanks for that 'tip' Kathy. I told you I was an 'innocent' My daughter is getting a bit fed up with me because she feels I should know, or be stronger with my attorney. She doesn't seemso realize I have reached the ripe old age of 60 something and have no idea about attorneys and divorce. She has been wonderful to me but all this stuff makes me want to weep. She does not want to get in the middle, but she is all I have to get advise from..................I just want to run away, and not have to deal with any of it.

Supposed to be 95 today so tennis is out, I guess. I hate just being cooped up inside, but it is too hot to be out!

Truck is ok(knock on wood)...could always use something worked on,but we do what we can when we can........(as long as it isnt an emergency)..

Glad Holly is doing better. Perhaps when the medication is all used up she will be a lot better.

Lindsey came with me to the first meeting so it might be because of that. What I am not sure about it is, is it normal for my attorney to to file a counter- petition for divorce on my behalf and sound so aggressive? It makes demands like Alan needs to not contact me, threaten me, try to take money out of any accounts etc etc. So far he has not done anything like that nor do I think he will, so it seems a bit over the top. What do you think. Maybe that is just the usual response. Lindsey thought it was a bit too aggressive. But I am confused. I really want to settle it and not have a contentious battle as I don't think I could stand that, and it might not be in my best interest. My attorney also wants to get a forensic accountant in and I am still concerned about what the final cost will be. Even if he pays it it will still come out of the same pot so to speak. Like I say I just want to run away from all of this.
Martha, I leave for Barcelona on August 22 and the cruise is 8/30. Thanks for the moral support. I think the next month is going to be very hard on me. I feel so alone. I want my mommy

I dont know why your lawyer is so aggressive.......maybe when you told him,you really didnt want to face A in court,he took it all wrong.........tell him............he!!,hes getting paid by you(but just for now).......make sure you ask him if A is the one that will have to pay for his fees........
