haha.got it now...............He just left...............
congrats on the weight loss...........you both are doing so good................we ate at Carabbas last night and had ZERO carb dinners!!! It can be done!! We both had salad and asked for oil and basalmic ..............then Dennis had steak marsala minus the marsala(I swear Carabbas has the best steaks in town.....).they are actually the same as Outback but they cook them differently............Outback cooks them on a flat pan and Carabbas grills them................
and I had the Chicken Bryan (chix with goat cheese).........................it was all so good................
Kate----I hope you can make that TA........not sure if it will get much cheaper than it is now,but I hope so..................

Hi all.
Just got home from getting a new set of tires on my Jeep............holy cow!! Not cheap.........got them at Sams for $607 and those were one of the cheapest!!!!!!!!! But they are Michelins so I know they're good ones......................
Walked over to Cracker Barrel for breakfast while waiting..............had scrambled eggs w/ cheese and bacon.........LOW CARB...then went back to Sams and stocked up on food........so its been a pricey morning............

I am here, I have been running around all day, trying to get ready for Vegas. I had my eyelash extensions done and a facial wax. So I am ready to party and we have been invited to one almost the minute we arrive at in Vegas it will be at Tao, which is supposed to be a hot spot. Then we have another one after that at the Flamingo. Then we are being taken to dinner the next night at Tao again. I am sooooo excited.
Well guys I went ahead and booked the TA. I got a great price today for a solo booking deck 10 Category L inside for a solo price of $755.....so thanks Kathy for the info and offer. I think I did pretty well. I also have a booking on the regular airlines IAH to BCN via Frankfurt on Lufthansa $450.
I think I may never get the chance again as we do not know what next year will bring. So I am going to go for it.
I am now looking forward to LV. The eyelashes look fantastic. She does a great job for $30. Now I have to plan my wardrobe.
Have a story to tell about the booking process, and the screw up but I might start a new thread on it. I am too tired tonight to be bothered. All I can say I had a very helpful person at C&A who straightened it out.

Kathy- I am so proud of you!! You are really sticking to it; I'm sure it will show at your next "weigh in"! I didn't know Carabbas and Outback had the same steak. Good to know! Sorry about the tires; the economy is a mess right now, isn't it? Since we live in Charlotte, the Wachovia is hitting our city hard. Work with someone who thinks her husband will be laid off. They have 3 small children.....

Morning girls,
Kathy, I sympathize about the price of tires. That is a whole cruise. I dare say mine would cost the same as I also have a Jeep Cherokee. Good for you for choosing to be careful what you eat. I do not eat any bread cakes, cookies, rice potatoes or pasta. Veggies and some meat chicken etc. lots of fruit. I love grapes and eat them as snacks. I did not gain any weight on the VY last time and hope to do the same his time. I will walk the mile a couple of times a day. I heard from Marilyn and she is calling her TA to have them link to my booking number for dinner. So at least I have a buddy on board. She is an a GS with Barb and Gerry. I am also on Deck 10 ( better watch out for Ziggy, he might think I have come to take him home!)
It is cool here this morning only 61F right now. It feels so good. I wonder what the weather will be like on the TA. It is a southerly route so hopefully not too cool.
My usual friends who come in to take care of Eddie are all going to be gone this weekend, so I have to find someone to come in and see he is OK. There is always something at the last moment. X(

I think you are right and the cruise lines are going to take a hit if we do not resolve this crisis. It is one of the reasons that I was unsure about spending this little bit of money I made. But it's done now so I might as well make the most of it. Lets hope we do not have to face canceling our NAV cruise because of a recession.
I know it will be sad for you to say goodbye to the SV. How many times have you sailed on her? I know its a lot. My cruise points are showing 20 that is before I take th TA. I will get two for that so I may make DP ( if we are still able to cruise ) next year.
Martha, I am so sorry for your co-workers dilemma. It is a terrible situation. I pray that they come up with something this weekend to resolve this before we are all in the s--t. If that happens we are going to hear many more stories like this. The trouble is that a lot of people do not know how to cope and live, cook and manage. Not like the generations past. There are many spoiled people out there and they will be in for a rude awakening, I don't think a lot of people would be able to cope, especially young people. But here's hoping it does not happen.
Think I have found someone to look after Eddie while I am gone. A co-worker who is going with me has a married son who lives near me in an apartment. I have offered for him to come around and use the house pool etc so Eddie has some company. I hope it works out but they are a good family.
Talked to my son today. he is booked to go to OZ with his GF in November. He wants me to go to Scotland to see him before he leaves which is right at the same time as my cruise. I told him it might be difficult but he was so disappointed and said his da had told him he would pay for me to visit. I am thinking I need to go this month as I do not want two long flight so close together. I have told Alistair to tell his father I want a business class fare and a hotel booked in Edinburgh as I am not sleeping on the sofa. We will see what the response is.P)

Glad to hear that Cindy and Marilyn also got the price drop. I think I would eat at the WJ too if I were not able to link up with anyone. There are a lot of people who I know on this cruise and quite a few who are doing the b2b. Med then TA.
Almost ready for LV. I have pretty much got my case packed. I am so excited to be going. This is a first for me. I have saved a pile of quarters to play the slot machines. Maybe I will have beginners luck. Hahah.

May not have time to post in the morning. I just sent a message to A telling him what flights he can book for me to go to Scotland.....Mainly business. It turns out the dates I need to go I found out he will be there as well so it will be interesting to see how he gets around that................................ I am not doing two transatlantic flights in November......but I didn't mention I was going back to BCN and the VY..................heheh
Saw Tom's message. I am so sad for him. I know he thinks he will lose his brother, but it may not be as bad as he thinks as I have a friend who had cancer of the kidney five years ago and he is doing great. I hope that his outcome will be positive.
Then Cindy's message as well. I am just glad they got home before all this happened. Can you imagine what would have happened on their cruise...............
We can only pray for each other and care for each other. That is the Christian rule of life.
