Just returned from the Cruise and can answer questions on the ship or cruise. Next yrs. version doesn't return to Vancouver but goes directly to San Diego. It's about a cruise that take 6 Days to get there and 6 days back. With usually 4/5 Hawaiian Ports . Very relaxing and go go for a few days with lots of ship time on the way back. Fairly cool going and next year should be warm all the way back. Ship is one of Hollands largest but still not massive and plenty of stuff to do. Has been mostly a Canadian crowd but that will likely change for more US folks with the switch to San Diego. I for one will not be going. No flying for me.. The train back up the coast would have been an option when my body was younger and easier to cram into a bunk. It is a great train ride for sure back up to Vancouver. Overnight in Seattle however.

I have always enjoyed our cruises on Holland America and we have done them to Hawaii a few times.

Definitely would to cruise Hawaii again last on was 20; years ago on rccl. Haven’t cruised Hal in about a dozen years we like suites and Hal offers very little other than a nice suite.

I'm not a huge Hal fan either but because I have restricted myself to no flying they offer more of a variety of Itineraries return out of Vancouver they have become my go too. This particular ship has a great set up for entertainment with three venues fairly constant on the go nightly. Blues/Rock and duelling piano with vocals. One down fall is lack of a live music in a bar and where social talking is possible. The suite life is still beyond my cheque books abilities. But they looked ok to me...... when I snuck into a couple. They have a seperate area just like the old daze for the hoi polloi.
