Good morning all!! Grab a hot cuppa and come on by and chat. Hope you don't mind if I stay in my chair. No one had to argue with me to stay down yesterday. Just cudded into my chair and enjoyed it. May even spouil myself with a cup of hot chocolate next rip towards the kitchen.. Paw made a big pot of beef stew yesterday that was sure good. We are now stocked up prettyu good with good one bowl meals. Good filling meals. Wish we cou.d have some hot bread with them but we do pass on that. Paw worked in yard much of yesterday got the front half all cleaned for second time. His scooter ran out of power-hope the new batteries will be here today ended having to order them.. He is attcking the back third of yard today for second time.. I will throw a load of wash into washer next time I go in the other part of house-not making unnesscary trips. Other wise I will put my feet up and keep the oxygen on another day.

have to check the other bords and see how everyone is doing. I sure wish I was leaving next week with JK na Cutie but guess I had best get built back up for Holidays and Jewel cruise.

Good Morning Maw & @ddict friend's,Staying in the chair sounds like a plan to me, does the body good sometimes. I'am just sitting here at this computer wraped in a throw watching it rain. At least it's not snow again until tomorrow. Woke up to a mild 36 this morning, but tomorrow they say we will start with 36 & fall through the day with more snow, YUCK. I'am not ready for winter yet. I too wish I was leaving on a cruise for the winter, that would be the ticket, want to run away Maw.
Going to the kitchen now to read the paper & eat, maybe oatmeal.

here I am..:grin.. and OH wooowwiie I am feeling a bit bad girlish..I had Pecan Pie at 11:30 last night.. one minute before my actual Birth minute.I was so stuffed from clam strips, steak, and sour dough bread I had for supper dine and dash here at Home with Mark.before whipping in for my 7-11PM... I had not time for dessert..so my tummy needless to say with a hefty piece of pie is still full..=eek..

Today is a very Dear long time ( 20 years- where do the years go??). friend at works Birthday.. and her fave cake is Carrot cake with Cream cheese frosting.. so that is going in the oven in a bit.. none for me!!..:nono.. Back to low carbs..
till I gnosh my way from one end of the ship to the other next week..:grin.,. .
and I am headed back to the kitchen after the cake is out..
headed to Momma ,and Poppa's after work tomorrow to Maine with BF's.. so needless to say I have a monster Apple Crisp, and Cranberry Sour Cream Crumble Coffee Cake to make before bed tonight..
oh and pack to go Home..and pack for LA..=shrug.. it's all coming together but I am not in a Zoom mode till I am home Sunday..
Threw out peanuts for the birds and squirrels, and they are eating as fast as they can..Mark swears the feeders are emptying 2x faster than normal..not a good sign..but the birds are plumping up ...
well I have Hoovering to get to and laundry to churn. back as it works..prayers for all those in need..:daisy..Joanne

Good Morning Everyone!

Was at Wal-Mart early this am to pick up the Full Sheet cake for our Veterans Lunch today. Feeding 71 Vets at our company. They sure did a great job on the cake - will post photos later.

Got the room decorated very nice - the ladies from the cafe did all the work and a great job too.

Mil still in Rehab - but Jim said she was much better yesterday - I didn't have time to go visit last night but will hit it tonight hopefully.

Got the new washing machine to be delivered Friday and got a new ceiling fan for Jim to install (don't know when he will find the time!).

Talked to the grandkids in Florida last night - the two little ones made the Honor Roll and were so excited - The older one didn't do good - so Papa made a deal if he gets all B's next report card - he gets $20.00. Hey whatever it takes. Plus him being grounded from computer and TV might help also! lol

Well, gotta rush - they actually expect me to do some work today! lol

Well, another birthday has come and gone....

Spent yesterday afternoon visiting my mother. We took care of a few errands and then we went to a great bagel place near where she lives. Best bagels with cream cheese and lox!
Last night JoAnn & I, as well as our DD Stephanie and her boyfriend went out to celebrate at TGI Friday's. No, it's not a fancy restaurant... but the last thing I wanted was a restaurant where you pay for a painted plate. We wanted FOOD! Great ribs, burgers, appetizers and we all shared one of those huge ice cream desserts they offer.

Today it's back to reality and work... the sky is gloomy with rain in the forecast. Need to get my new tuxedo for work altered. Since I wear my tux every day to work it doesn't take long until it's time to buy a new one.

Good morning fellow @ddicts! ! ! We have another exercise today at work. We are role playing a terrorist / hostage situation. I will be part of the neutral force that feeds info to the "good guys" to see how they react. There are some folks from higher headquarters here to evaluate their choices. Then its three days off for Bread and I.

Joanne, I got tired (and hungry) just reading your post this morning. :lol

Was thinking about 2Tall recently, sure hope he continues to recover. Leatherneck too.

Good morning @ddicts! It's a beautiful sunny day here and it is supposed to be in the 60's! I'll take that for November!!!!!!

Today is another day of tests for SK and hopefully they will figure out what the heck is going on with him. I wanted to get
him something special for our 25th Anniversary today but an upper GI was not quite what I or he had in mind

Maw you and Jan can definately join us anytime on a cruise. It will be strange that you are not with us on this one

I hope that anyone who is not feeling well feels better soon.

Good morning. At last! I have been trying to get on for half an hour! Board is acting like I feel - slow!

Joanne - your meal yesterday sounded yummy! You will burn the calories off fast with the pace you maintain!

Good thoughts go out to 2Tall, Leatherneck & SK. May they all be better soon.

It is dry here but the wind is still blowing. Our garbage pickup is usually on Wednesday but the truck never came, so I hate to see how many cans/bags have been up ended in the wind!

Good morning Maw and Ramble gang. I had a whole ramble typed out but it wouldn't post...it seemed like the board had hiccup for a few minutes.

Rainy and cole here in Locust Grove VA....I am home sick and seems I have a gastro bug. Came home with aches and chills last night and was in bed by 7:40 and stayed there till 9:40ish, except for when I called my boss. Like Maw, I am now chilling out....I think I will be crawling back in bed soon....just wanted to check in.

Good morning everyone. It is quite a lovely November morning here. We can actually see blue sky and it is dry...a bit windy but that is okay....there is generally snow on the ground by this time of year so all this is making for a very good November.

I had a wonderful day yesterday,,,scrapping, lunch out with friends, making plans for a Christmas Luncheon with another group and playing with my little yorkies. They were full of beans when I came home from a few hours out of the house. Today I'm going out with my Mom. We will try and pick up a few things she is looking for (Christmas gifts) and then have lunch. When I do get home I'm going to scrap a little more of my calendar.

Maw...glad you took it easy yesterday...another day for good measure seems a great idea...and I treated myself with Hot Chocolate here this morning too!

Jan...I know how you're feeling...an early winter in November makes for a very, very long cold season. Cuddle up and stay warm.

Joanne...If it's a birthday cake you have to have a piece otherwise it's bad luck for the birthday person!!!! (If you're really trying to be good just an itty bitty piece works :grin !

:wave Korina....did Serena get really excited when John came home from work yesterday?? Hope she is settling in to family life well!

Donna, Glad to hear that Jim is noticing improvement in his Mom...that is a good thing.

Herb, sounds like you had a wonderful fun evening out to celebrate your birthday! Sometimes the body just craves food that is not fancy or served in elegant surroundings....sometimes a meal should just be plain old fun and what better time to enjoy that than on your Birthday.

Tobyn...hope your exercise goes well....sounds like you are playing games DH devises as his business :grin !

Good afternoon all,
Thought I would check in, be it a bit late. I have been out skimming leaves off the pond,,, and then the wind blew and there are just as many as I had to start! I tried a net last year but too many birds got caught in it and it just broke my heart, so I will do the laborers way this year. It is raining now so I have a reprieve. So I thought I would come and check in.
We had a great weekend in DC met Janet and John, and we all had dinner with DD Peggy and family, so I got to show them off… we came home Monday, Ed got to his meeting by two, and I got to work around the house, unpacking and doing wash.
Tuesday, Ed and I did lots of little jobs, I used him well on his day off.
Yesterday, I had a hair appointment to get a trim and then went shopping and to the post office to pick up mail that was being held, and mailed my dear sweet Great Nice her birthday gift late,,, I am not sure how I forgot that one, but I guess in all the running it got lost.
Today it is clean the office day for the rest of the day,, ugh That is about it from this neck of the woods…
Maw keep taking care, and prayers for all the others too.

This morning I fought with my computer, bathed Buttons, worked on doing away with very old receipts.. and that is about it. I am going to look at how I want to pack the new carry on case for our trip, and making out a list of the things I want to wear.. day by day on the cruise :lol

Maw, just wanted to mention that I made Beef Stew today too It's a favorite for DH, and with the cold weather, seemed fitting.
