I'm a little late with this reply but please know that I sending positive wishes for a successful surgery for your friend. Any surgery is scary but when it comes to someone messing around in my eye I too would be just a wee bit frightened.
Jean's surgery is now scheduled for March 9th - unfortunately, the day I sail on my crossing. I wish I could be there for her. Even though the specialist has assured her that the procedure he does is different from what's described on most internet sites, and she'll have no restrictions about flying, Jean doesn't want to take a chance. She is so looking forward to her cruise in May.
=hugs for you, prayers for Jean that it all goes well, and that her voyage goes as scheduled too, so glad she is NOT waiting to get it all dealt with..keep us updated as you can..:daisy..Joanne
Prayers are on the way from MN.
Glad she has a date for the surgery & that she will be able to fly for her cruise. Sorry its as you leave, but I too like Glo's idea to mail a card as you leave.
Thank you, Joanne and Jan. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Yesterday, Jean was mentioning torn retina instead of hole in the retina. Either way, I hope she fares top notch with her surgery.
And, yes, thanks to Glo's suggestion, both Pucci and I will be mailing cards on Saturday.
Thank you, all. I'm sorry to say Jean had to have the more complicated surgery - with the bubble behind her eyeball to help in the healing process. But she must be head-down for at least 1-2 weeks. I'm so sorry I'm not there to help her as she helped me post-op.
