NCL's Spirit

I do think the price of wine and drinks are a bit on the high side and not allowing passengers to bring any alcohol on board is a pain.

NCL allows pax to bring wine onboard, subject to a corkage fee paid at embarkation. So long as it is in your carry-on, and you declare it upon boarding, there will be no problems.

lisa, yes they do allow bringing wine on board but $15 corkage fee if you drink in it in your cabin is a bit pricey. That being said we did enjoy having a couple of bottles in our cabin on our last cruise plus we did the bar set up.

email the ship coordinator. I think it is: eventscoordinatorxxx@ncl.com. If this doesn't work, I will try to find out the exact address, but I think this is it. they will send you a price list and you can email them back..

I guess it is pretty new, or certainly wasn't around 6 years ago, probably been in the making for about 3 or 4 years.

You can order booze to be in your cabin prior to cruising. It needs to be ordered 2 weeks in advance. You email the eventscoodinator of the ship, he/she will send you a price list and you can decide what you want. The bottle or bottles will be in your cabin when you board the ship. Though the prices seem high, they are a heck of a lot less than buying all your drinks at the bars, plus it is nice to have drink in your cabin. Celebrity has the same thing, but may lines do not.

Hi All,
Just registered on the page. My wife and I are going on our 5th cruise on the Norwegian Spirit out of New Orleans. I guess we're well on our way to being cruiseaholics ! This trip fits our itinerary to a tee. Only a one way flight from Boston, and the boat repositions from NO to Boston. I also have a relative near Baton Rouge and will be visiting before embarking. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi All,

My Wife and, I are taking the Spirit out of New Orleans on April 19, 2009. This is a repositioning cruise back to Boston, looking forward to 12 days of bliss. We're from Boston so this will be a pleasure only flying one way. This is our 5th cruise, I'm looking forward to the new renovations that were made on the ship in Dec.. We booked an oceanview room, and were wondering if anyone else has had experience with repositoning trips. We would like to inquire about an upgrade or upsell to a balcony. Thanksl

Nita please help....the events coordinator email doesn't work. We are only 4 weeks away from sailing and I'm really interested in the bar set up thing.
Let me know if there is another way to contact them. Whenever I email them I get a delivery failure message. Thanks!

just an FYI, we had a balcony on the Spirit, we loved our cabin, as you know loved the ship, but the balconies are really small. Just be prepared. They are still enjoyable and we loved sitting out watching the world go by...

We will be sailing on the 19th as well. My husband is a CPA so always glad to go somewhere after tax season. Do you have any shore excursions planned yet?
