No Go

No can do:(

As my TA explained, because we booked a cruise tour, and the cruise tour is closed, no changes can be made. After I thought about it, it makes sense: if the cruise tour is closed, I can't book it, even to change a cabin.

Yeah, a package is a package. Oh well, you tried!

I am sailing on Princess in December for a Boomers Cruise....after researching 4 differents TA's booking this "tour", I thought the price seemed awlfully high. Sure enough, I booked the cruise direct with Princess for far less....same cruise, less money. They were offering a couple of "get togethers" as part of the "package". LOL. That's okay, I can find the parties! :party

I'm a travel agent and RCCL/Celebrity are a joy to get price reductions on, even after final payment. The latest I have gotten a refund is 4 days prior to sailing. Wish i could say that about other cruise lines, but I can't.

We booked a CC cabin and found it had gone down in price even after the last payment..also discovered they have a discount for CC cabins anyhow if your a retired or discharged Miilitary person..We had to pay an additional fuel charge, but the credit morethan pays for our excursions..lol:girly

Hi, wish we brits had the same 'rules' for being charged at 'lowest price' and not losing deposit on cruise cancellations. We lose all of our deposit - which is a substantial amount, and I have never received a credit when the price has reduced. This is normally for new bookings, and being our deposit is so substantial it is not worthwhile to cancel. Would like to see it fairer for us.

Yeah, but your Pound beats the crap out of the US Dollar right now....count your blessings!!!:D
=soapbox

I think prices will continue to drop dramatically as global recession dawns...unfortunately, I think the quality of the cruises will also continue to decline as Carnival - The Owner of All Ships and The Almighty God of Cruises continues to look for ways to cut back and increase their bottom line.
