I thought I posted to this thread yesterday but don't see it now.
I hope Pucci has a very easy surgery & is back to himself very soon.
My thoughts & prayers are with you Mary Ann.

So sorry to hear this Mary Ann. But I've also been told that the anesthesia they use on older animals is very easy for them tolerate. I had a doxie once and she had to have surgery when she was 13. She tolerated it very well and lived to almost 17. I'll keep Pucci (and you) in my prayers. This is probably going to be harder on you than it is Pucci!

Thank you, again. I finally fell asleep shortly after 5 this morning. Pucci, on the other paw, slept soundly. The Vet plans on numbing the areas around the lumps so that a lighter general anesthesia can then be used.

I don't know how I missed this before Mary Ann. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Prayers and scritches for little Pucci too.

Oh Mary Ann - If I was there I would give you a big hug. Nothing I say can make this any easier for you or for Pucci but I am sending you all my good thoughts and prayers that the surgery goes smoothly for Pucci.

It is so hard to have to schedule & put Pucci through this but you are doing the right thing - those lumps are worrisome and Pucci will be better off without them.

Marty & I will keep you and Pucci in our thoughts - please don't hestitate to let us know if there is anything we can do for Pucci - perhaps send a favorite toy or treat to ease the recovery?

We will keep our fingers and paws crossed for a full and speedy recovery.

We have been down this road with Kato and Eddie and like you I worry endlessly about our "kids" when they are at the vets, even if its just to be "fixed".

We will keep a good though in our heads for you.

Mary Ann, please be assured of my prayers for Pucci, as well as hugs for you. While we know he will be in excellent hands, it's still so hard on us parents. Think about the moment he will wake up in your arms, healthy and ready for your TLC. Hugs from all of us.

Again, my sincere thanks to all. I truly appreciate your prayers and kind comments. I'm very apprehensive about this, but I want those the lumps removed. We all are one, big family when it comes to our furbabies and we understand each other's feelings and, at times, fears.

:thankyou:
