Oh, Mary Ann, I am so sorry, both for Bruce's family and for you. I know he and his family were your good friends and I know your heart feels like it has lost a part. Prayers are on the way for all of you who knew and loved him. We just never know when our number might be called.

My heart is breaking for Arami. She loves her grandpa so very much, and that little child is just not going to understand why her grandpa is no longer there for her.

Thank you Judi for steering me here. I remember how kind he was to our family when Elliott battled his cancer. I am so sorry for his family at home and here. I do know now he is with Elliott, Mari and Hucc. May they all find each other and be happy

I am so sad to read this, I didn't know Bruce, but I felt like I did from his posts. My heart breaks for his wife, children, and his beautiful grandchildren. May God hold him in his hands and help his family get through this difficult time, missing him.

Mary Ann - I am so sorry to read this post this morning. I did not know Bruce did so enjoy his posts and tales of his good spirit on prior Duck Cruises.

I send my heartfelt condolences to his family, to you & all his friends.

Most of the Cruise @ddicts are not aware, but in addition to being a frequent poster here on the boards, Bruce (or "MASTER" as Enforcer Duck so adoringly referred to him) was one of the original Ducks; and much to his chagrin he and Calgon are fellow high school alumni .

Rest in peace my friend ... I will always remember you with great fondness ...

Actually, Bruce and Sharon were not "original" Ducks, but close enough to be considered original. None of us who were together on Volendam's repositioning cruise from FLL to SFO in 2004 will ever forget the 18 days of non-stop fun we had, and some of the tricks that were played by bOB and Mal D (especially) on Brucie. With my brain so devastated by the events of the past few days, it took Judi to suggest that the original Ducks send flowers to the funeral home, and I did take care of that immediately. Brucie will be sorely missed.

I've been concerned about little Arami, the 4 year-old apple of Bruce's and Sharon's eyes. I see where, the night of the accident, she was told that her Papa is an angel in heaven. I guess it remains to be seen how much (or little) she understands at this point, especially after the Services today.
