RCI paying for good comments on websites?

Interesting read, and not terribly surprising. I have always assumed that the lines monitor the major boards, and
don't doubt that they are interested in getting as favorable posts as they can. Is it a little sleazy? Yes, probably.
But, all of us know that it pays to be a little skeptical about we read on line, and this is just another reason.

and thats why,I(as a Royal Champion) dont have to work..........I get paid to say nice things about RCCL......................YEA,RIGHT~~ dont believe everything you read in those articles.....if you do,I will glady sell you a subscription to the National Inquirer..........

It just another marketing tool. So now the cheerleaders are getting rewarded by Royal Caribbean. Big deal.

i'm with ph. still waiting for the check from rci. so for the free 2 night liberty pre and the nyc neighborhood media event has cost my wife and i about $3000.

if rci is trying to buy us, they need to do a better job. btw, their pizza still sucks,

OK....here's my take.....

Some of my good friends are Royal Champions [I'm not worthy] and most of them have posted great information about RCCL on web sites going way back, so they still have complete credibility in my book. The sad thing is that a manager at RCCL put all of them in the very difficult position of having to defend themselves because she made the statement that the purpose of the Royal Champion program was to "influence the influencers" by giving them a few perks like preinaugurals.

In my opinion, that person should be the one that is defending the RCs.....not letting them hang out to dry and subject them to some hard feelings caused by her thoughtless interview.

All the Royal Champions that I know....well, one can be a little whacky:D....will remain true to their own feelings and post appropriately about RCCL.

You can trust the ones that I know.
