yes, we did have a very smooth sailing on the summit last year. could not have been better. they did have some bad weather prior to our docking in st. lucia. the beach was full of rocks and the currant was rough. i got knocked down and spent the rest of the day with sand in my suit. well, still better than cleaning out the kitty litter.

You made me laugh at 6 AM--know what you mean about the kitty litter--we have four cats!!

I'm sure we will have a great time on the Voyager. Everyone at work knows it is our #13 cruise so it is a joke about the weather. I'm just happy being on a ship. Seems to be the way to go!

Celebrity has now caught up with RCI and are doing Cruise Critic parties. How about one for Cruise @ddicts? Or, all of us at Cruise @ddicts also registering at Cruise Critic and being part of a Cruise Critic party? After posting a "roll call" at Cruise Critic, I believe there will be plenty of people from Cruise @ddicts and Cruise Critic available for a special party. Let me know your thoughts and I will take the lead on this one and register at Celebrity Cruises. It's now available on their web site.

We will be having a Cruise Critic party on our Voyager cruise in a couple of weeks. Hopefully I can get online in our cabin and let you know how the party goes. We have over 70 people registered for the party. I would be in favor of registering for the party.

Hi guys!

This is the first time I have been on this board in a very long time! My wife Diane and I will be on board for this cruise. Our third cruise, first on Celebrity. We are part of a group that Lori Cunningham has put together, but I haven't heard from Lori about any planned activities. We'll be flying in a day early, have reservations at the Amerisuites for the night before and the night after the cruise.

Andrea and I were passing mail about the trip a number of months ago, talking about meeting, but it was SOOOOO far away, and I had a whole summer of other traveling ahead of me, so I kind of put it on the back burner....

I'm looking to do some scuba diving while on a couple of the islands, and would be happy to hear from other divers who are going. Been buying up some new equipment to take on this trip in fact.

So if you starting to plan a party/get together, put our names on the list! Always looking to hoist a few with new friends from the internet!!!!

Welcome Tom. It's nice to have you back. You can go to Celebrity's website and enter your information for a Cruise Critic party. I believe that there is enough people on this cruise between Cruise @ddicts and Cruise Critic to meet the 25 person quota. I think we should have a combination Cruise @ddicts/Cruise Critic party, compliments of Celebrity since there are people that post messages on both web sites. What do you think?

Well, I got out our booking number (actually I dropped an email to Lori and had her provide it) and added my request for a meeting place onboard. The count is currently at 12, so if some of the rest would go to the site and make a request for a "cruise critic meet and greet" we can get the cruise line to support it!

Tom I'm planning on doing a dive on one of the Island. Haven't decided which one yet. Still doing some research but looking forward to that clear blue WARM caribbean water.

Shipstern, how have you been? Just checked Celebrity's website and as of today there are 18 signed up for the party. Getting 25 signed up should be no problem.

Does anyone know what type of party Celebrity gives @ what do they provide.......... food, drinks, etc??????? and is there any cost to us???????

Shipstern, here is the info from the web site both at RCCL and Celebrity:

Once your party has a minimum of 25 people registered, Celebrity will make it official by providing a complimentary room and light refreshments. Then, two weeks before your sail date, an e-mail confirming the party will be sent to the contact for your Reservation ID. And, before you know it, it’s "Bon voyage!"

I presume that "light refreshments" would probably mean snacks. Drinks are probably on us. Don't know for sure. Carolyn is supposed to let us know how her Cruise Critic party went on RCCL later this month, either while onboard or after she returns.

I read on another newsgroup that wine and champagne was provided along with light snacks for the party. We will be boarding the Voyager on Sunday so will report first hand about the party. I'm hoping to secure a connection in the cabin . Our group has sure grown. I'm sure looking forward to meeting everybody.

Hi Andrea. How have you been? You can go to Celebrity's home page and click on the link. You will need to enter your reservation id/booking #, ship's name and date of sailing. Then follow the instructions. As of right now there are 20 people signed up.
