MAMA DUCK'S WHALE WATCHING INFO
Ahoy Duck Crew... I know many people book through Capt. Larry in Juneau for whalewatching. This is NOT meant to sway anyone away from arrangements you may have already made.
For those who want to book whalewatching in Juneau through Princess - and save $$$ - Princess is offering private whalewatching tours...
Private Whale Watching
Experience Juneau's star attractions at sea on a private tour with the companions you choose.
Spend 2.5 hours onboard a covered jet boat built to ply the waters of southeast Alaska. The captain tailors your route to give you the best opportunity for a fantastic whale encounter. If a whale is not sighted on your tour the group receives a $1000 refund. Binoculars are available for your use and a camera is highly recommended to capture images of these majestic creatures and their spectacular environment. Enjoy a complimentary snack of smoked salmon, cheese and crackers, chocolate and cookies as well as a selection of beverages.
SPECIAL NOTES
Price is per vessel - only one guest per party should book this excursion. The boat can accommodate up to 14 guests. Please refer to page 22 in the 2009 Alaska Adventures Ashore Brochure for more information.
Due to the very limited capacity and highly specialized nature of this excursion, it is not refundable unless cancelled by 12:00pm on the day after embarkation.
Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Indicate the number of services you wish to purchase (i.e. number of vehicles, vessels, sets of equipment, cabanas, etc). This shore excursion is not sold “per adult†or “per child".
Approximately 3.5 hours
$1749.00 per service (for up to 14 people)
Moderate level of activity; Includes snack; VIP Tour
Boat Ride; Ground Transport (DAT); Sightseeing; Whale Watching Tour
I would book the boats in my name and you can pay me. Based on 14 people/boat, it comes to just under $125.00 per person, which is considerably less expensive than the regular Princess whalewatching shore excursion. I should know tomorrow if the tour is accessible for those with mobility issues. Princess is contacting the tour operator.
We have cancellations from/additions to our numbers, so I'm reluctant to commit to some activities until final payment. Once I find out about the accessibility and report on it, please e-mail me if this tour is of interest. Thank you.
