To dye or not to dye

Wow, lots of reasons to colour or not!

I used to have my hair coloured all the time. Long hair, short hair; red, purple, blonde, everything you could think of. I used to be a real hair colour freak!
These days I just let it be. The chemicals scare me, and I need to allow the grey to grow so I can qualify as a Grey Nomad. I have a few grey hairs so far; I am working on more. :grin

I color my hair (with L'oreal Excellence) because the gray that was coming in didn't go with my skin tone. I wanted to be one of those ladies who have beautiful gray hair...that doesn't make them look older and sets off their face. But that wasn't the case for me...and since I had mouse brown hair - with lots of gray - I decided to add some red to it. I use Light Redish Brown. (I had to experiment with quite a few colors before I found one that really looked right with my skin tone.)

Gray hair does not run in my family, so I have not had to make that decision yet. And, Korina, I am older than you. my hair is very dark brown. I get a few white ones every now and then, but they are still at the tweezable level. Don't know what I will do when I have to make that decision.
