To Royal Caribbean to make your cruising experience with them a notch better than it currently is???

Mine would be to start building MORE Radiance Class ships for those of US that prefer to be able to walk from one end of the ship to the other in a hour and NOT a Day. :thumb

Re: What would your one request be

Dear Einstein,

Ever since options ## 5 and 6 were dropped, we´ve lost all hopes for more of the best cruise ships ever built.

Re: What would your one request be

I'll second that. It was a real shame to drop #5 and #6. Atleast the four are being kept in excellent shape.

I would like to see RCI fix the Crown and Anchor program so that the benefits do not get diluted as time goes by and more people attain high status.

I agree with both of those suggestions. I'd like the quality and the variety of food in the Windjammer to improve.

I would like for them to put the crown and anchor together with celebrity's program so I could mix it up and still have my cruise numbers grow. I really thought they were going to do that but they didn't.

If there is going to be a large group (Over 100 people) onboard I think they should let other passengers know. I went on a cruise that had a group of over 300 people and they were able to rent out parts of the ship without RCI ever alerting us to it. They even rented out the solarium for an entire day!

I would also like to eliminate some of Crown and Anchor perks that Platinum people get. Last two cruises we took it was easier to get through the boarding process in the regular line that the special line because they have added platinum to it. They also had a luncheon of Diamond plus, Diamond, and Platinum. It didn't seem that special.

Very true Missmadge. All the levels seem to merge together for the mostpart, Diamond plus isn't even special anymore. I remember being Diamond and having a special brunch in Portofinos one day. It was lovely and we were well taken care of.

I agree that some things in C&A have tended to merge together. ie, the Plat, Dia and Dia+ get togethers.

What changes to the Diamond and Diamond Plus levels would you suggest? .....especially Diamond + because Diamond level perks are pretty good the way they are.

I'm not sure what I'd like to see but something that truly show that they appreciate it. I thought it was great to get the sticker on our card that said "Diamond Plus". Maybe a dinner at Portofinos or Chops would be really nice with a visit from the major officers possibly.

I'm sure you have some ideas too.

I'd like to see more free internet mins. for C&A members. I know Princess is doing away with their unlimited mins., but at least they still get a good number.

On my last cruise, they announced at the platinum/diamond party that they were giving the platinum members on board the white luggage tags for priorty departure because there were so few diamond and dplus members on board. WHAT???? I thought that was the beauty of now being diamond - getting off the ship early with a small group. And they made it into a large group - so large that there weren't enough chairs set out in the departure lounge for those of us diamond members who didn't get there well before 7am - the required time. We had to squeeze through the load of people to dig out our own chairs piled up behind.

I call that poor planning and somewhat of an insult for having gotten to diamond and my supposed privilege by the rules.

Are they going to start allowing platinum members into the CL now if they aren't already packed with d and d+? Or maybe they will cut the diamonds out of the CL if they have too many d+ on board. They have their perks for C&A levels. They should stick with them or at least not give them extras that they don't yet qualify for.

I also think the idea that was posted about a free meal in portofino or chops would be a nice perk to add to diamond plus. Along with that they should give unlimited free time to diamond plus who bring their own laptop. I don't think they should allow it at the public internet stations because that would monopolize the PCs from the paying guests and RCI would want the revenue generated.

Now that I'm diamond, I don't have any real incentive to work for and look forward to being diamond plus. The perks aren't that much greater. Maybe they could even add in a certain amount of $ worth of laundry service for d+. There needs to be a few nice extra perks added to d+. That's for sure.

FOR KNB0405 - warning about a very large group - Jan 13, 2008 Voyager of the Seas

My sister and I just booked our 3rd cruise. This one on the RCL Voyager of the Seas with a very large group of people. Our last cruise was on the NCL SUN (Jan 2007) and we were with 600 people. We wore green T-Shirts with the name of our group - KTDY FM 99.9 (Lafayette, LA) and the name of the TA. By the time we got back to New Orleans we were told that our TA already had 200 cabins booked for our Jan 2008 cruise. I am sure we will have more than (600 cruisers) on this new upcoming cruise. People from Lafayette likes to party :party and by having the TA reserve that many cabins in advance they get great prices that they pass on to us. Prices that I, working on a secretary's salary can afford. To get into their private parties we wore special green wrist bands. For example On Friday night we had a pool party with "free" drinks, alcoholic beverages (FREE) :wave and soft drinks (FREE). Most of our get togethers were for an hour or an hour and 30 minutes. My sister and I only attended the functions we wanted to. You do not have to show up for all the private functions they hold, only the ones you think will be fun for you and your traveling buddies. And, you do not have to be from this area to join us, we had people from San Antonio TX, Maryland, Arizona, to name a few states. All you have to do to cruise with us is to book it through the travel agency that the radio station uses. Its not fair to give free advertisement to the TA on this website since I do not work for them nor the radio station. If you or any other cruise addict wants me to give you the web site of where to get more information for this party you can E-Mail me and I'll be glad to give you all the information you need. ILoveCruising@hotmail.com

But I do agree with you that the cruise lines should put a message in their daily newspapers telling other passengers that a certain area will not be available between certain hours because a very large group of people will be using that room. Its called Common Courtesy.

1st cruise - Carinval (td) Conquest - September 2005
2nd cruise - NCL (tu) Sun - January 2007
Upcoming cruise - RCL Voyager of the Seas - Jan 13, 2008 X(
