MSC Cruises Opens The World’s Largest Cruise Terminal

MSC Miami Cruise Terminal
MSC Miami Cruise Terminal

MSC Cruises inaugurated the world’s largest and most advanced cruise terminal at PortMiami on Saturday, April 5. The new MSC Miami Cruise Terminal sets a global benchmark for cruise infrastructure as the first in the industry to implement a complete biometric journey with digital identity verification for a seamless embarkation experience.

Imagined by global design firm Arquitectonica and built by Fincantieri Infrastructure, the 492,678-square-foot facility can process up to 36,000 passengers daily and was developed with the guest experience at its core. As the first and last impression of a guest’s holiday, every step is carefully streamlined for a stress-free embarkation.

MSC Miami Cruise Terminal

The new terminal will serve both MSC Cruises’ and Explora Journeys’ ships sailing from PortMiami, including MSC Cruises’ new flagship, MSC World America, which will be named during a ceremony at the terminal on April 9 before she sets sail for her inaugural season in the Caribbean.

From beginning to end – the MSC Miami Cruse Terminal streamlines processes including:

Check-in from the comfort of home:

Guests can check in for their cruise online, via the MSC for Me app or the MSC Cruises website, uploading their travel documents, receiving their boarding pass in a matter of minutes, and preparing in advance for biometric processing, saving them valuable time when they enter the terminal.

Arrive at the terminal with ease:

Guests can arrive by car, bus, taxi or ride share without hassle. Those arriving by car can park in the terminal’s impressive six-level garage with over 2,400 spaces and reserve their parking spot in advance via the MSC for Me app or the MSC Cruises website. There is also a covered drop-off zone for buses, taxis and ride shares. All forms of arrival share a covered path straight to the terminal’s main entrance.

Dropping your bags is a breeze:

Guests who have checked in online can simply scan their boarding pass and drop their luggage at one of the secure, strategically placed drop-off points in the parking garage before continuing to the terminal.

Check-in and security are faster than ever thanks to biometrics:

Guests who have opted into the biometric journey can simply scan their passport and look at the camera of one of the terminal’s 18 biometric face pods for validation. The 20 security lanes that follow ensure a fast, efficient, and seamless screening process.

Relax before your cruise:

Guests will enjoy a terminal bathed in natural light, where Biscayne Bay’s sparkling waters reflect through the facility’s expansive glass façade. Before guests embark, they can take a moment to unwind in one of the comfortable waiting areas situated throughout the spacious terminal.  Guests of the MSC Yacht Club, the cruise line’s luxury “ship-within-a-ship” concept, will also have exclusive access to a private lounge to enjoy premium drinks and snacks, the ultimate luxury prior to embarkation.

One last step to embarkation, powered by biometrics:

The terminal uses 22 biometric E-gates to finalize the embarkation process before guests enter the gangway. With onboarding now performed terminal side, rather than on the vessel, guests can start their holiday immediately.

Seamless disembarkation and luggage collection:

Guests will benefit from an easy, quick disembarkation thanks to an advanced baggage handling and processing system. That way, guests can get home quicker and get a head start on planning their next cruise.

More about MSC Miami Cruse Terminal’s artwork:

Inside the terminal, guests will discover seven curated works of art commissioned through the Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places program. The most striking piece—a first-of-its-kind is a 10,816-square-foot digitally projected installation—which adorns the exterior of the terminal, using real-time NOAA oceanic data to create an ever-evolving display of tides, currents, and weather patterns. Additional exclusive artworks enhance the MSC Yacht Club private lounge, offering a refined pre-cruise experience.

The MSC Miami Cruse Terminal In numbers:

  • 492,678 square feet – making it the world’s largest cruise terminal
  • Spans 4 levels
  • The first terminal in the world to be able to welcome three cruise ships simultaneously
  • Features 7 pieces of artwork including a 10,816-square-foot digital art installation displayed on the outside of the terminal
  • Capable of processing up to 36,000 guests daily

Virgin Voyages Unveils Rojo by Razzle Dazzle: A Spanish-Inspired Culinary Experience

Virgin Voyages is bringing the vibrant flavors of Spain to the high seas with Rojo by Razzle Dazzle, an innovative Spanish-inspired restaurant debuting aboard Brilliant Lady, the newest member of the brand’s rebellious fleet. Following the astounding success of Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle – the Chinese-inspired restaurant launched in November aboard Scarlet Lady – this bold culinary innovation promises to have Sailors’ taste buds dancing the flamenco.

Acclaimed chefs Justin Severino – a four-times James Beard Foundation award nominee – and Nate Hobart will co-helm Rojo by Razzle Dazzle, bringing their ingredient-driven, sharable dining innovations to sea. Co-chefs at Morcilla, the Spanish-style charcuterie taking Pittsburgh by storm, Severino and Hobart are taking their deep passion for Spanish gastronomy straight to Virgin Voyages’ decks. Some of their favorite recipes are also going along for the ride. Rojo’s new menu will feature Morcilla’s legendary Oxtail Montadito with braised oxtail, caramelized onion, mahón cheese and a crostini.

By day, Razzle’s signature brunch will have a Spanish-American twist in a casual, laid-back atmosphere. New and exciting dishes include jamon croquettes paired with morning classics like acai bowls, pastries, and frittatas. When the sun sets, Rojo transforms into an elevated dining experience pulsing with vibrant Spanish energy. Marked by Razzle Dazzle’s sophisticated but warm vibe, the menu features pintxos, tapas, and platos grandes – all pulling inspiration from Spain’s renowned culinary regions.

Ensuring the cocktails live up to the explosive cuisine, Virgin Voyages partnered with Onada Consulting from Barcelona, bringing an authentic Spanish touch. The brand also sought out iconic bars in Spain’s hottest cities, including Barcelona, Madrid, and San Sebastian. Cocktails capture the authentic Spanish spirit in every sip with genuine ingredients, flavors and flair. As for Rojo’s grapes, the wine menu spans bold reds like Rioja and Ribera del Duero to refreshing Albariños from Rias Baixas. Rojo serves up artisanal vermouths, vibrant sangrias, well-paired sherries, and sparkling Provocative cava spritzes for brunch.

Virgin Voyages completely reimagined the Razzle Dazzle space for Rojo, creating an environment that honors Spain’s communal dining traditions. Rich wooden accents, deep reddish-orange tones and sleek finishes make the new look pop. Paired with a mix of lively shared tables and intimate nooks, the inviting space perfectly embodies what Virgin Voyages is all about – bringing incredible people together over amazing food and unforgettable experiences.

“Virgin Voyages set out to be a disruptor from day one,  and our culinary program –  with Michelin-chef designed menus and boundary pushing creativity – was always central to that mission. Spanish cuisine and the communal dining traditions complement our commitment to authentic yet innovative experiences for our Sailors.” said Levi Mezick, Director of Culinary Program Development.

Rojo by Razzle Dazzle isn’t the only refreshed foodie experience coming to the Virgin Voyages fleet. Extra Virgin is pairing existing Sailor favorites with new pastas, arancini, seafood risotto and roasted monkfish, among others. At Gunbae – the only Korean BBQ at sea – new items include kimbap rolls, bulgogi fire meat and bo ssam (whole roasted pork butt with oysters and caviar).

Virgin Voyages recently unveiled seven original productions that will debut on Brilliant Lady this fall along with a sizzling new restaurant concept. MSC Officially Inaugurates New Terminal in the Port of Barcelona

MSC Group’s Cruise Division officially inaugurated the new MSC Barcelona Cruise Terminal on the first call of EXPLORA II at the new terminal – the second ship from the luxury lifestyle ocean travel brand Explora Journeys.

Dignitaries who attended the commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony included Jose Antonio Santano Clavero, the Spanish government’s State Secretary for Transport and Sustainable Mobility; Central Government Delegate Carlos Prieto; Fourth Deputy Mayor for the Area of Economy, Tax, Economic Promotion, and Tourism, Jordi Valls; Albert Dalmau, Minister of the Presidency of the Government of Catalonia; and Jose Alberto Carbonell, President of the Port of Barcelona along with Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman, Cruise Division, MSC Group; Gianluca Suprani SVP Global Port Development, MSC Cruises; and Anna Nash, Global President, Explora Journeys.

New MSC Barcelona Terminal

“Barcelona has been a strategic partner for MSC Group for more than four decades and for MSC Cruises for more than 25 years, and our commitment is unwavering. The new terminal is not just an investment in modern port infrastructure but demonstrates that we are aligned with the city’s strategy for a more balanced and sustainable model of tourism, all whilst bringing positive economic benefits to the region. We look forward to this new chapter with the Port of Barcelona as our guests from MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys enjoy the benefits of this modern, innovative, and sustainable cruise facility.” said Pierfrancesco Vago.

The landmark terminal was designed by the renowned Catalonian architecture firm Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura. This avant-garde building provides continuity with the cruise experience. The retail area, the spacious waiting lounge with generous seating, and the exclusive VIP lounge for our premium and luxury guests create an elevated pre-boarding experience with privileged views. Outside, ceramic cladding pays tribute to Barcelona’s rich Gaudi-inspired artistic history with a color inspired by the sea.

Carefully designed with a strong focus on environmental features and energy efficiency, the terminal incorporates energy-saving technologies and sustainable materials. This includes solar panels and optimized natural light to minimize the need for artificial lighting, along with a rainwater collection system to supply water for toilets and landscaped areas to reduce water usage. The terminal has achieved Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for its energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Shore-to-ship power connectivity will be available in 2027 when docked ships can switch off their engines, connect to the local power grid, and eliminate emissions in port.

This Summer, Five Ships Will Use New Terminal

This summer, MSC Cruises will have a choice of five ships offering embarkation in Barcelona – MSC World Europa, MSC Seaview, MSC Seaside, MSC Magnifica, and MSC Orchestra as part of their sailings in the Mediterranean Sea. Luxury ship EXPLORA II will regularly call in summer with Barcelona as one of her main homeports.

Explora Journeys’ EXPLORA II will sail through the enchanting waters of the Western Mediterranean this summer, offering a series of immersive journeys that begin or end in the vibrant city of Barcelona. From the sun-kissed shores of Sardinia to the colorful harbors of the French Riviera and the storied coastlines of Italy, each itinerary blends relaxed luxury with rich cultural discovery. On board, guests enjoy refined European elegance, ocean-inspired wellness, and curated experiences designed to deepen their connection to the sea and each destination.

CEO Faces Federal Assault Charges Following Cruise Ship Altercation

Resilient Lady
Resilient Lady

A cruise aboard Virgin Voyages, Resilient Lady recently became the unexpected setting for a legal incident involving Kenneth DeGiorgio, CEO of First American Financial Corp., and another passenger. The altercation occurred in the ship’s On The Rocks bar, where guests enjoyed the evening’s entertainment.

The Alleged Assault

According to a federal criminal complaint, the incident began when DeGiorgio’s wife, Nichol DeGiorgio, asked a fellow passenger, identified as M.A., to put on his shoes while he was dancing barefoot. The situation escalated when M.A. allegedly responded with profanity, prompting Kenneth DeGiorgio to intervene. The complaint alleges that DeGiorgio choked M.A. and issued threats, leading to federal assault charges.

Legal Implications and Charges

The charges against Kenneth DeGiorgio are serious, with federal assault carrying significant legal consequences. If convicted, DeGiorgio could face substantial fines and potential imprisonment. This case highlights the legal complexities involved in incidents occurring in international waters.

Statements from Legal Representatives

In response to the charges, a spokesperson for DeGiorgio’s legal team stated that he acted in defense of his wife, who felt threatened by M.A.’s behavior. The legal proceedings are ongoing, with both parties preparing for a potentially lengthy court battle.

Public and Media Reaction

The incident has attracted widespread media attention, and public opinion is divided. Some view DeGiorgio’s actions as a defense of his spouse, while others see them as an overreaction with serious legal implications. The cruise industry, already under scrutiny for safety concerns, faces renewed questions about passenger conduct and security measures.

Company and Personal Repercussions

The incident’s fallout extends beyond the legal realm, potentially affecting DeGiorgio’s professional standing and First American Financial Corp’s reputation. The board of directors may need to address the situation publicly, balancing corporate interests with the personal actions of their CEO.

Broader Implications for Cruise Ship Safety

This incident raises important questions about safety protocols on cruise ships. While cruise lines have established measures to ensure passenger safety, this altercation underscores the need to evaluate and improve these protocols continuously.

Legal Jurisdiction in International Waters

Handling legal matters in international waters presents unique challenges. The jurisdictional complexities can complicate enforcement and prosecution, as seen in this case. The incident may prompt discussions on enhancing legal frameworks for incidents occurring at sea.

Why Professional Yacht Interior Cleaning Matters

Owning a yacht is more than a luxury—it’s a commitment. Beyond the open-sea adventures and elegant getaways, yacht ownership also comes with the responsibility of upkeep. While most owners are diligent about surface-level cleaning, a lot happens below deck that often goes unnoticed. Moisture, salt, and limited airflow contribute to hidden buildup that can affect comfort and long-term value.

That’s why many owners choose to work with services such as Yacht & Villa Professional Interior Cleaning, which specializes in addressing the conditions in marine interiors. From high humidity to enclosed spaces prone to mold and mildew, these professionals understand the intricacies of keeping a yacht interior clean—visually and hygienically.

Why Routine Cleaning Isn’t Enough Below Deck

Are you diligent about wiping down surfaces and vacuuming the carpets? That’s a good start. However, routine cleaning doesn’t penetrate deeply enough to tackle the unique challenges inherent in a yacht’s interior. Think about those hard-to-reach places, such as under mattresses, behind paneling, and inside storage compartments. These areas are prime breeding grounds for a variety of undesirable elements. Simply spraying an air freshener masks the underlying problem, failing to address the root cause.

Unlike maintaining your home kitchen, a yacht galley is significantly more prone to moisture retention, and the often limited airflow creates an ideal environment for mold and mildew to flourish. Though seemingly insignificant, food remnants and spills attract pests and bacteria. Furthermore, the HVAC system can circulate allergens and unpleasant odors throughout the yacht.

Critical Areas That Require Special Attention

Where should you focus your deep-cleaning efforts? Here’s a detailed breakdown:

  • Cabins and Sleeping Quarters: Mattress sanitation, fabric shampooing, and odor elimination are key.
  • Heads (Bathrooms): Marine toilet scale buildup and mildew in tile grouting are common issues. Use appropriate disinfectants to kill germs without damaging surfaces.
  • Galley (Kitchen): Sanitizing appliances, counters, surfaces, filters, and drains is vital for hygiene.
  • Storage Compartments & Lockers: These are moisture traps, often leading to pest infestations and forgotten perishables.
  • Air Vents and HVAC Systems: Mold spores and allergens can accumulate in these systems and circulate throughout the yacht. Professional duct cleaning is essential for clean, healthy air.

The Importance of Professionally Deep Cleaning

Deep cleaning of your yacht’s interior is essential for maintaining its aesthetic appeal, preserving materials, and ensuring a healthy environment for all passengers. Professionals specializing in yacht maintenance consistently emphasize the importance of regular, deep cleaning to address the unique challenges posed by the marine environment.

Regular Cleaning Schedule: Establishing a routine helps prevent dirt buildup and maintains the quality of upholstery, flooring, and other materials. A consistent schedule ensures that your yacht remains in top condition and prevents mold and mildew growth. Aim for a quick tidy every 1-2 weeks, and schedule a more thorough cleaning monthly.

Key Areas for Routine Cleaning

  • Cabinets and Shelving: These areas often collect dust and grime. Wipe down surfaces thoroughly with a microfiber cloth.
  • Upholstery and Carpets: Use a vacuum with an upholstery attachment for gentle cleaning. Consider specialized products for deeper stains. For a thorough cleaning of carpets, use a vacuum and a stiff-bristle brush with soap and water. A wet vac may be necessary for larger boats to remove excess water.
  • Fiberglass Surfaces: Use non-abrasive cleaners to prevent scratches and maintain the gloss. Regular fresh water rinsing helps remove salt deposits.
  • Vinyl Surfaces and Seats: Clean with a soft bristle brush and marine vinyl cleaner. Apply a vinyl protectant after cleaning to shield against UV and salt damage.
  • Galley and Head: These areas require extra attention due to grease and grime buildup. Use marine-safe products to prevent damage and maintain hygiene.
  • Bilge Cleaning: Use specialized bilge cleaners to keep the bilge clean and odor-free, ensuring efficient boat operation.

Psychological Benefits

A clean and well-maintained yacht interior enhances the boating experience, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. A clean environment can significantly boost your mood and overall well-being.

Health and Safety Considerations

Neglecting cleanliness on yachts can lead to significant health hazards. Contaminated air in a closed environment can trigger respiratory issues, especially for individuals with allergies or asthma. Improper galley cleaning can lead to foodborne illnesses, ruining a vacation. Slippery, mildew-covered surfaces pose a physical hazard, especially when the yacht is rocking. Furthermore, mold-related property depreciation can potentially affect your insurance coverage.

What to Look for in a Professional Yacht Interior Deep Cleaning Service

Look for these key attributes:

  • Certification and insurance.
  • Use of marine-grade (eco-friendly) cleaning products.
  • Use of specialized tools such as steam cleaners and industrial vacuums.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of the intricacies of yacht materials.
  • Availability of antibacterial, hypoallergenic, or fragrance-free services.

Ask these questions before hiring anyone:

  • What specific experience do you have with yacht interiors?
  • What products and equipment do you routinely use?
  • Are you adequately insured?
  • Can you provide client references?

Incorporate deep cleaning into your seasonal routine to address areas that require intensive care. This ensures your yacht remains in prime condition year-round. Always use marine-safe products to avoid material damage and keep the boat in ship shape.

Regular ventilation and ample air circulation prevent mold and mildew growth, particularly in humid areas.

Going Beyond Clean: Creating a Luxurious Onboard Experience

Deep cleaning transcends mere sanitation; it’s about creating a genuinely luxurious onboard experience. Consider guests’ positive reactions to spotless interiors, the invigorating scent of teak oil, the plush, sanitized bedding, and the gleaming countertops. All of these elements elevate the onboard ambiance. A clean environment directly contributes to relaxation and enjoyment at sea. The link between impeccable hospitality standards and thorough deep cleaning is undeniable.

Final Thoughts

Maintaining a clean yacht interior is a responsibility, a luxury, and a wise investment. Regular professional deep cleaning protects your health, preserves your yacht’s value, and ensures a luxurious experience for everyone on board. Neglecting this essential aspect can lead to mold, mildew, decreased value, and dissatisfied guests.

Your yacht is your sanctuary, your escape, your home away from home. Schedule a professional assessment or cleaning service today, and ensure your yacht is ready for its next adventure.

MSC Cruises Takes Delivery of MSC World America

MSC World America Delivery Ceremony
MSC World America Delivery Ceremony (Photo by MSC Cruises)

MSC Cruises and Chantiers de l’Atlantique celebrated milestones on Thursday for three World Class ships in Saint-Nazaire, France, with the delivery of MSC World America, the coin ceremony for MSC World Asia, and steel cutting for the newly named MSC World Atlantic.

Attendees included Captain Gianluigi Aponte, Founder and Group Chairman of MSC; Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Group’s Cruise Division; Laurent Castaing, Chantiers de l’Atlantique General Manager; and the French Minister for Industry and Energy, Marc Ferracci. They were also joined by representatives of MSC Cruises’ new build team and shipyard workers who built the ship over the last 30 months.

MSC World America

MSC World America is the 23rd ship in the cruise line’s fleet and will be officially named on April 9 at the company’s new state-of-the-art MSC Miami Cruise Terminal, the largest in the world. The ship offers new venues and concepts tailored specifically to the North American market, combining European style with American comfort.

“Today is a proud moment for all of us at MSC Cruises and Chantiers de l’Atlantique as we mark these major milestones in the development of our fleet. Our new flagship is a testament to our long-standing, innovative partnership spanning over 20 years, resulting in five groundbreaking prototypes and 19 ships. Together, we continue to push boundaries, combining cutting-edge design, the latest technologies, and a richness of experiences to set new standards in cruising and always striving to further improve the environmental performance of each ship. We look forward to raising the bar even higher with the upcoming MSC World Asia and MSC World Atlantic.” said Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of Cruise Division, MSC Group.

MSC World Asia celebrated its coin ceremony, during which commemorative coins were placed inside the ship as a sign of blessing during construction and to bring good fortune to the ship. Two godmothers, Marialuisa Iaccarino, VP Shore Excursions for MSC Cruises; and Flavie Biondo, Chargé d’affaires for Chantiers de l’Atlantique placed the coins in the ship’s hull. MSC World Asia will enter service during winter 2026-27 with Mediterranean cruises to destinations in France, Italy, Spain, and Malta.

MSC Cruises’ third celebration was a steel-cutting ceremony to start construction of the line’s fourth World Class ship, due to enter service in 2027. The ship’s name—MSC World Atlantic—was revealed for the first time. MSC World Atlantic will offer cruises from Port Canaveral, sailing to the Caribbean starting with the winter 2027-28 season.

The World Class platform set new standards in cruising with the introduction of MSC World Europa in 2022, and it continues to evolve with each new ship incorporating innovations in design, technology and guest experience. World Class ships are named in honor of the world’s continents and oceans but do not necessarily indicate where they will be deployed. The naming convention reflects the global nature of MSC Cruises, which sails to all parts of the world.

MSC World America is one of the most energy-efficient cruise ships in the world, surpassing all design requirements under the International Maritime Organization’s Energy Efficiency Design Index. Her latest-generation engines run on LNG, which enables a direct transition toward drop-in bio and synthetic renewable fuels.

The ship is also equipped with shore power, which allows the engines to be switched off while in connected ports that offer it, such as the new MSC Cruise Terminal in Miami. The ship also has an advanced wastewater treatment system and a comprehensive onboard recycling management plant, which significantly reduces waste output.

The Classification Society, Bureau Veritas, has awarded MSC World America its Platinum Pearl Award in recognition of MSC Cruises’ 20-year commitment to health, safety, and environmental protection across its fleet of ships.

MSC World America‘s inaugural season of Caribbean cruises from Miami will start on April 12. 7-night Eastern Caribbean itineraries include calls at Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and MSC Cruises’ private island—Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. The ship’s 7-night Western Caribbean voyages will call at Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; Isla de Roatan, Honduras; and Ocean Cay.

Designed for discerning travelers accustomed to the private oasis of the yachting lifestyle, Crescent Seas now brings Crescent Heights vision of creating magical communities in the sky to the high seas.

Luxury Residences At Sea

Crescent Seas will launch with the Navigator – in agreement with the ship’s owners, which are affiliates of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (“NCLH”). It will undergo an extensive and top-grade refurbishment of more than $50 million. Three elite design firms are working with Crescent Seas to complete the redevelopment, Lissoni & Partners, Journey and MAWD, each responsible for respective features across the ships. The Navigator will feature 210 residences, ranging from $750,000 to $8 million. Amenities will include white-glove butler service for all units and Starlink internet connection to allow for remote work or schooling. Residence sales will open to the public on April 9th, with a sales gallery in Miami available for prospective buyers. The Navigator will embark on its maiden voyage in December 2026. Crescent Seas also plans to announce four more luxury residence ships over the next five years.

Russell W. Galbut, a founding partner of Crescent Heights and a leader in the cruise industry, is spearheading the growth of Crescent Seas, “After spending so much time on the seas, we noticed that travelers yearned for more. People on the ships kept telling us they wanted to live this luxurious lifestyle. So, we decided to select ships with the right configurations to convert to the most magnificent cruising yachts,” Galbut said. “With most of the earth’s surface covered by water, it only felt right to use our 50 years of development expertise on land, to create the most magical residences at sea. Why vacation to just one gateway city when you can be at home and live in all the greatest gateway cities around the globe? After hand-selecting this ship, we hired the same experienced management teams to operate the ship for the first 10 years of operations. We are delighted to be able to provide luxury homes to people that will carry them to places they’ve only dreamed of.”

Best-In-Class Residences

Unlike traditional commercial cruises, owners of these best-in-class residences will journey on extended voyages around the world staying in each destination for 2 to 3 days. The adventurous itineraries will span across all seven continents, reaching some of the most far stretched destinations on the planet. Marisa Galbut, President of Crescent Seas stated, “Residents will venture to exotic parts of the world to explore places like French Polynesia, the Faroe Islands and Madagascar.”

Ensuring a first-class level of service, each ship will be continuously operated and maintained by their existing crews; and the day-to-day on-board hospitality services will continue to be handled by the existing service provider, The Apollo Group. With more than 50 years of experience in the cruising industry, The Apollo Group will provide the highest level of service and dining for every resident as they have in the past.

“We are delighted to announce that Navigator will continue to sail the ocean with Crescent Seas. While we know Navigator is a favorite to many guests, with our two new Prestige Class ships on order, this agreement allows us to optimize our fleet while ensuring Navigator continues creating unforgettable memories at sea,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Crescent Seas is being launched through GFO Investments, Galbut’s global family office and a major investor in Crescent Heights. As Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Crescent Heights, Galbut has an exemplary track record of developing urban projects in gateway cities across the country, including Ten Thousand Santa Monica Blvd and The Remington in Los Angeles, Forma Miami, and the redevelopment of 25 Broad Street in New York City into the most desired homes and residences. Galbut’s development expertise coupled with his over 23-year tenure in the cruise industry gives Galbut a unique vantage point to meet the current market demands and drive the success of Crescent Seas.
