Earl - thank you so much!! I'd give my eye teeth to sail with your and Rosemary again. But, Alaska is not in our cards for 2012 as we are doing a family cruise in Mar 2012. We do hope to sail with you and others again soon though!! :doubleup:

Sis, I think I might have just found a flaw in your weekly countdown...if I'm not mistaken, July 13, 2012 is a Friday. Doesn't that mean the weekly count should be calculated on Fridays instead of Sundays???

Sis - I know we sail on a Friday. I simply picked Sunday for the countdown to make it simpler and start the week off with something to look forward to. I guess I'll have to start getting my DUCKS in a row!

A little birdie tells me - possibly a Hawai'ian Nene - that we just MIGHT have our Circle Hawai'i cruise around the third week of April 2013. No details yet. The date will not interfere with Easter or Passover.

A little poetic license with the spelling of the name.............

It is, Jeanie, regardless of whether it's by cruise or staying ashore. I, personally, love the tranquility of the crossings to/from Hawai'i coupled with cruising Island to Island.

I was able to re-create a very detailed review with photos of my Zaandam Circle Hawai'i cruise of 2008 that had been lost in one of C@'s crashes. It's in multiple emails - I have to figure out how to put it together again or I may simply forward the 5 emails to my friends.

Great news, as our "slow season" is from December through April. After that, it's Spring storms and tornadoes, followed by hurricanes. However, just to be safe, I'll be putting in a leave request for the two weeks as soon as I get the dates ...

Hmmmmm. Have to figure out how to say 'Aloha' in Duck!

In April/May 2006, several of us - I included - did a back to back on Volendam. Back to Back Circle Hawai'i (18 nights) with a 7 night Alaska Inside Passage cruise. I was aboard for a total of 25 nights. It was our last Duck Crew cruise with Captain Charly.

Jeanie - it's far enough in advance to budget and plan. Perhaps your dream of a Hawai'i cruise can come true in 2013.

I am hoping. Before the mortg meltdown and Rick lost his job, we had plans to cruise Hawaii the year of our 10th anniversary which is this December. As you know that plan has been put on hold
